The company will have a bulletin in the future to officially notify employees. If you have
any questions you can call your UAW benefits representatives at 241-9491.
Safety should always be our priority. We have had several incidents throughout
the Ford systems were pedestrians have been hit by PMHV's and vehicles in the
parking lots. Please be aware of your surroundings and always watch for moving
vehicles. You should utilize pedestrian walkways whenever possible. This is important
with slip, trips and falls. We have already had two falls in the parking lots this year. We
were very fortunate that no serious injuries occurred. Winter is fast approaching and
although all efforts are made to keep the lots clear, you still need to be aware. If you are
not aware of your surroundings you are at risk for injuries.
St. Joseph has provided us with a list of children needing adoption for Christmas.
Please contact Kevin Powers, Takeya Lewis, Mark Baker or your committee person to
review the list for potential children to adopt for Christmas. You may also adopt or
purchase items from the Game Room or the General Gift list. If you pick a child please
call Kevin Powers (429-2341) or Mark Baker (429-2291) and let him know which one
you have chosen. This way the child will be assigned to your Team and will not be
double adopted. If you choose to purchase 4, 5 or 6 items from the Game room or
General Gift list, please let Kevin or Mark know what those items are also. When you
call Kevin or Mark with your child or game room or general gift list choices he'll give
instructions on what to do from there. Please choose quickly for the choices wouldn't
last long. On December 10, 2011, at 9:00am we will be shopping at the Meijer's
department store on Westport road by the plant. Everyone is welcomed to show up and
help.
On Tuesday November 22, 2011, Dare to Care will receive a F-550 built at KTP
as part of Operation Goodwill. Dare to Care is an organization that distributes more than
14 million pounds of food per year to over 192,000 area residents in need. I am proud to
have our membership play a role in providing support to this organization. It is always a
positive when Ford Motor Company and the UAW can reach out to the community and
help support those less fortunate.
The first and second quarter profit sharing will be paid on December 15, 2011.
Any profit sharing for the third and fourth quarter will be paid in March 2012. The
competitive bonus of $250 is scheduled to be the during the pay ending of December
11, 2011.
This is just a reminder that we still have the B-12 shots ongoing at the KTP union
hall on Wednesdays. These are administered by Splendid Skin. The hours are 2pm to
430pm.
