You didn't hear!....It's all settled we got 13 million divided among 40,000 members. But the IUAW executive board voted to put the money into the general fund. Rumor has it, they are using the money to organize VW in Tenn.

They have 90 days do make decision.Which puts it right up there in March when we get the other part of our profit sharing. That way when we are pissed off about the out come they can smooth it over with the profit sharing check ,Like they did on our fucked upNO RAISES CONTRACT.

We can't find out about our grievance cause our UAw officials won't come out of the offices to find anything out. Guess there has been alot of good stuff on you tube the last couple of months.

We just recieved a letter today from IUAW and it tells us no more today then what we knew yesterday. I am not going to sound like a repeating record but here I go again. We are not going to get a dime from this "DOG AND PONY SHOW" that the IUAW has created.

We are not going to get a dime because the UAw have no spine. Silly Rabbit, we're not getting a dime because we ratified our contract. You can't fuck yourself up the ass and blame someone else because it hurt.

Update: Equality of Sacrifice grievance February 14, 2012
To: Hourly and Salaried Presidents and Building Chairpersons
Greetings,
We are aware that there have not been any updates recently with regards to the Equality of Sacrifice grievance and for that we apologize. We had hoped that at the time of the next update we would be able to give more information and provide a better sense of a timetable toward resolution. However, that is not the case. There remain several legal issues which must be resolved before the hearing can commence. In addition to discussions over legal particulars, attorneys from both sides are awaiting a date to continue the arbitration hearing.
While the process may seem slow, it is important to remember that this grievance has elevated to a legal matter, and with regards to legal proceedings, attorneys from both sides are at the mercy of the adjudicator, in this case the arbitrator, when it comes to scheduling and timing.
All we can ask from our attorneys is that they give this case its due diligence and make sure things are done correctly rather than quickly; which they have done. As soon as the leadership has received an update from the attorneys, we will promptly notify the membership.
In Solidarity,
Jimmy SettlesVice President and DirectorUAW National Ford Department

If you really want to get onto folks for voting yes on the contract go to Blue Oval Forum. Those people on there thought this contract was the best the company could do, especially with the economy in the dumps. I made a few post to the contrary and the only responses they had consisted of name calling and hatefulness, written in perfect grammer of course!
Next contract I'll be on here urging everyone to post on BOF.

If you really want to get on someone...besides the spineless who can't think for themselves...contact King and Settles for the threats to the membership that this was the best we could do and if we struck we would be out of a job...that's how that game was played.

Pmooret, everyone needs to keep in mind that both company and International employees will get onto popular websites in order to prevent any reasonable discussion, or opposing opinions. They will put forth their opinions and then insult anyone that opposes their view in the hopes of getting an emotional response that will change the flow or end the conversation. Either way they win whenever this happens - don’t ask me how but that is just the way it is. This is a new method of influence. Since the internet has allowed the masses to start sharing information and ideas it has eroded the older forms of influence like tv and newspapers.
I personally am convinced that this is effective enough for big industries to make this part of employee’s job requirements; to control the conversations shared on public forums in order to regain some of the influence they are losing with the sharing of ideas among the general population.
I agree we need to publicly oppose that type of influence, but going over there and just posting as individuals will just get their employees OT. We need someone to create a website for ford union members only to discuss issues on this type of topic. Then, if you wanted to counter those arguments as an organized group (similar to the way they do it) would give better results.
