Hey Johnny K, no offense my man, but maybe yourself and Adam could use this forum to answer questions or ease confusion with these insurance issues... You'll reach a lot more folks, at both plants. Or you guys could just keep playing tic tac toe while waiting for someone who has a problem with the way you do your jobs to come by the office to tell you that you suck...

On the bulletin Johnny and Adam put out it says out of pocket 417/834 with a deductible of 150/300. Shouldn't it be 350/700 or 650/1300 ? Confused now 417/834? Take the time to read "thinittowinit wrote" at the top of this post. So instead of doing your job and informing the membership, you are whinning because someone comments about benefit reps not doing their jobs? I started this thread and it sounds like someone is jealous. Classic entertainment!!! If you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen!!!

Usually the loser of the argument resorts to name calling. Did someone say something about childishness earlier? Done!!!

Ouch Johnny, I'm deeply hurt, but tickled you found my post so offensive. I'm grateful you have chosen to utilize this forum. It will be great when you actually put some useful information on here for the membership... But for the last part, I was just interpreting your own words the way I heard it, sorry... You don't suck...You Rock...

Go to the benefits web site and run the worksheets. It compares what you would pay with humana and compare it to bc/bc. I would be paying $873 out of pocket with humana. If my family used the same amount of Dr visits. Hope that helps.

Gentlemen, I was asked to get on this site to answer some questions. I`m not going listen to a bunch of BS. Especially from a bunch of grown men hiding behind a fake screen name. Now if you have a health care question feel free to ask. Does bcbs cover any allergy meds, like singulair, which is not availible over the counter?

Now if you have a health care question feel free to ask. I've seen several people on this thread wanting to know how the deductible change was going to work with no response. One person says something about the benefits reps and he gets a reply, WOW.

Good eye Brian...history says if you want to hear from someone, talk bad about them and they miraculously show up. Do as I do...call Jim Fisher at LAP...total pleasure to deal with and get the answers you need.

Yes, Jim has always answered my question when ever I have had one, and I would have said that, but right now with all the transfers coming in he has been very busy helping them out. Of course he's a pleasure to deal with he is over in Happy Land.

Jim always makes an honest effort to answer questions or help with whatever issue you have, and if he can not help you he will tell you so.He won't just blow smoke up your ass and send you on your way.

I don't know Johnny, I have called the hall several times either for you or Adam and everytime all I get is a recording. I left several message's between the two of you and to date no return calls. I have called at different time's of the day as well. I have called as early as 7 in the morning and as late as 5 in the afternoon, please explain as to what give's and why it is so hard to get answer's from our rep's. Remember Johnny, you are there to help the membership not for a free ride from the I.U.A.W. on our dime.

We only have this forum because our appointed people will not answer the phone, come on the floor, put out handouts, return our calls. We pay 58 bucks a month for you people to give us information and keep us informed. So when you don't do your jobs and we call you out it's our fault and we are childish. Do your job and Most of us will be happy, but you can't. But I'm sure you made plenty of trips to Springfield to help Adams dad work on his house so you could get an appointed job. And you think we are in the wrong.
I have been to the union hall only a couple of times and every time our reps where at the end of the hallway in a room playing cards and having a ball while we work our butts off down the street.
And if JK thinks he and Adam do such a great job, ask Scott to make these jobs, term jobs that are voted on if not continue to hide behind a job title that you can never loose.....WOW it must be nice to have that kind of job security.

The best information I can give is base your decision on your own familys wants an needs. Others may be different from what your familys needs are... Trinitus, I find it really hard to believe that you can`t reach one of us. Give me your bay location and I will personally come see you.

I have to disagree with you guys. I have called our benefit reps on numerous occasions, sometimes it does take awhile to talk to them. But, both Johnny and Adam have answered my questions and trust me I had both of them on the phone on 2 different occasions and those are just the recent questions. Not one time did they try to rush me off the phone. There are alot of members that have questions and I sure would not want their job trying to get back in touch with everyone and hear all of their complaining. Before anybody goes off saying I must be in the click...guess what, I'm NOT! I'm sure when they are told it's me they would love to run the other direction but they have always been courteous and helped me out.

For all those that voted yes to this contract, save your money, so on the next contract, you wont be scared to vote no, that way, we can stand and get our benefits back.
If you dont, they will keep taking, and keep rewarding themselves with it. Dont you like how all salary got all their things back, and got raises, and large bonuses?!?!
I voted no, this happens everytime we pass a contract, as the new year goes on, we find out how much we get screwed.

I don't like it either, but this has nothing to do with the contract & everything to do with Humana

I have to stand up for Johnny K. here.
1- No union rep is required to come on here for anything, period. If they decide to answer questions here they ARE going above and beyond their job descriptions.
2- I would hope that a benefits rep would have a no-nonsense attitude toward his job because of the vast amount of people he deals with. Remember he also takes care of retirees also.
3 - I've had many dealings with Johnny K. - He has always gone way out of his way to personally deal with myself and the membership. He is a class act.
