I seem to remember reading the union meeting minutes...believe the number was over 100...maybe 140ish??? Can someone clarify? How about the new hires getting a $500 car voucher to be used in their first year of employment??? LMAO Not only do we not get one, I can't wait to see the new hires afford a new car...hope they still live with their parents.

Kinda makes me puke in my mouth a little bit with the jabs and the attitude that these new hires are stupid or beneath us. I hired in at $12 and some change, with a wife and kids, I sure could not afford a new car either. I do think that these people will enjoy watching their wage go up and up with every contract, unlike us 1st tier employees.
As much as it will suck, these new hires are the future of the UAW, when they start voting on contracts that leave us in the dust, I guess we'll see who gets the last laugh. Not to mention what these guys will do with the spread of Right to Work laws. Goodbye UAW, its been nice knowing ya old friend.

I hear ya...I bought a new Mustang in 1993 when I was making $14 an hour as well...but that loaded up convertible Mustang GT cost under $20,000 A-plan...how much are they now? What about the differences in gas prices and cost of living altogether? Their wages are pathetic and there's no one to blame but their union brothers/sisters that sold them out.

I hear ya ScottR. We have done such a good job sticking it to ourselves and the retirees, hell shit just has to run down hill. That's OK though, us 1st tier and the UAW will be paid back in full someday.

Yes, we may never see another raise as long as the membership continues to vote "YES" on "NO" raise contracts. Enough said!!!!

If you want a raise, you better become salary, or an IUAW rep.

Wow, Ford made $6.6 Billion in after tax profit this year during a CONTRACT YEAR and we still did not get a Raise because we needed to Help the Company... If you didn't get a raise this year because of the company finances, then when.. I don't see it.... Just saying...

We can't get a raise because the majority voted "YES" to our new contract... You're only allowed to bitch about it if you voted no. It's not Ford's fault, that belongs to the UAW. Come on Right to Work...

As a newly elected team leader in U trim, I feel team leader should be an elected position. My reason being, No one wants a shity team leader. If u all dont like the way it is at ktp you should all have went back to the promise land, but I hear it sucks there now. I think two years is too long. It should only be one year. I hope they bargained to get rid of that other speed bumo at gate zero.

Team leaders should stay the way they are now. Voted in by team members.

The "Kentucky Oaks" is a Grade 1 Stakes race for 3 year old fillies at Churchill Downs, it is run on the Friday before the Kentucky Derby. For years it was considered the day for local patrons at Churchill Downs, usually resulting in lots of no-shows for Louisville businesses.
