On March 8, 2012, KTP will have a gate collection to accept monetary donations to assist families and the communities affected by the tornados that took lives across Indiana and Kentucky this past week. In addition to the gate collection, Ford Operation Goodwill will match up to $25,000 of the employee donations between KTP, LAP and Local Ford dealerships. All funds will be directed to the Red Cross of Clark County. Employees may write a check payable to Clark County Red Cross. I wonder if somebody is going to get together a group of UAW workers to go over and help on the clean up effort?

Thank you Tony for putting that up. Erick Grant said that he and his friends went up there to help out over the weekend and was denied the right to come in even though they were there to help. He said that you have to file out a application to enter. I guess they are doing this so that people don't go in there to set up something to profit off others misfortune.
The UAW is doing gate collections tomorrow, and taking collections at the hall for those that were affected, there is also a concert going to be held soon to raise money here in the near future and Ford is going to match that from what I am being told. So there are things that we as whole are trying to do but you got to remember that those areas are in protective status by the government and they are just not letting anyone come in even though you or anybody else is there to lend a hand.
I just got off the phone with Todd Dunn and we are trying to help out in anyway that we can. Any ideals that you all may have, I would suggest calling the hall and talk to Todd about. Remember that even though it is little things that we do, to those affected it means a lot to them and knowing that people come together to help out goes a long way.
