Union Meeting Minutes
March 13, 2012

KTP Chairman's Report
• The current order bank is as follows: Super Duty 40,247 units; Expedition 9,429
units and Navigator 1,112 units. The schedule is 1,382 units off the chassis
which is approximately 9.2 to 9.3 hours. As of now there are no Saturdays
scheduled.
• We had 73 employees (33 trades and 40 production) sign up for the buy out
packages. Sixty-eight took the SRI and five took the STEP.
• Vacation shutdown has not been scheduled. The company has until April 1,
2012, to notify the union. We do know that the week of July 2, 2012, will be
scheduled and the week of July 9, 2012, is tentative.
• We have 38 TPT employees in the plant to help run on Monday and Friday.
• We will sit back down with the company on the local agreement the last week of
March. I have been on nights and will be going to Detroit this week. We will
address the 150 Transfer to LAP Letter and some trades issues in Stamping.
• There will be a blood drive Thursday March 29, 2012, in the administration
building from 7am to 1pm and 5pm to 10pm. The bloodmobile bus will also be
located outside of door 104 at pre delivery.
• The total collection for tornado victims was $19,700. This is an awesome amount
and thanks to everyone that donated.
• The profit sharing checks will go out tomorrow, March 14, 2012. The national
average will be approximately $2,400.00
President's Report
• Thanked all the members that donated to the Clark County Red Cross.
• Discussed the Obama speech during his trip to Washington DC last week.
Talked about his support of organized labor and trade unionist in the USA.
• Talked about the sorters at LAP being organized into Local 862.
• Kings Island tickets will be on sale at the next union meeting at LAP. Special
weekend dates in May for $16. The summer rate of $20 for the month of July.
Fall dates in October are $10. Note…only spring dates in May will be sold at the
LAP union meeting. There will special sales dates available for the tickets in July
at both halls.
• The Metro United Way collected 27.8 million in 2011.
• There is a Region 8 retiree conference ongoing this week. Your retiree officers
and VP Cash are representing the local.
• Discussed the situation at LAP with the Teamsters and gave updates.
LAP Chairman's Report
• Collected $14,800 for the tornado victims off the day shift. Will have a collection
next week for the night shift.
• Discussed the teamster issue at LAP. The teamsters will do the entire car hauling
to the dealerships in the kentuckiana area.
• The first production units rolled off the line today. May 7th, 2012, should start the
overtime. Will be on 5 days and 10 hours a day at this time.
• Need to hire 87 trades now at LAP. We have 60 trades people working in
production that will help fill these openings.
• Mentioned the following appointments: Rick Thomas JSA Rep; Shela Carter Ergo
Rep; Barry Ford Time Standards Rep; Kevin Motley UAW Benefits Rep
• Have not discussed the local agreement because we want to wait until the
membership is working and we understand the issues.
• Foreign cars are only allowed in the north east part of the parking lot.
• Had 39 members take the buyouts.
