It went something like this: We are gonna win this thing...blah, blah, blah...new testimony from 3 Ford managers being submitted...blah, blah, blah...we are the greatest, strongest union in the universe...blah, blah, blah...I promise you we are not wasting your union dues on more bullshit...blah, blah, blah. The end...

Equality of Sacrifice Arbitration Update March 22, 2012
(E-mailed)
To: Hourly and Salaried Presidents and Building Chairpersons
Greetings,
A hearing for the Ford Equality of Sacrifice Arbitration was held on Friday, March 9, 2012. The Company completed its case-in-chief and we presented two witnesses on rebuttal.
For the last few months, the parties have been arguing over the admissibility of certain documents the Company produced to the Union prior to the arbitration. In a significant development, the Arbitrator issued three subpoenas requiring the testimony of two current Ford management employees and one former Ford management employee at the next hearing. These subpoenas have been served, and we hope that the testimony of these witnesses will help our case and will convince the Arbitrator to admit the documents that are in dispute.
The hearing is scheduled to resume Thursday, April 5, 2012.
Solidarity,
Jimmy SettlesVice
President and DirectorUAW National Ford Department

You Fools are looking at this the wrong way. When you keep your expectations low, the Union wins, they give you a little check and blow each other because they did such a great job. If you get nothing, who cares, you didn't expect anything.
In keeping your expectations high, our beloved Union needs to step up. If you get that same little check, they suck ass because they didn't do good enough. If you get nothing, they all suck major ass because they didn't do Jack shit.

What would be a good payout if we was to happen to win? Opinions please.
Our 1 raise and 3 performance bonus payments?

The only payout we could get, somebody correct me if im wrong, is a payment for missed monies between the period of: when the agreement was broken, and the date of the settlement. So only from the time they started to give white collar their raises and bonuses back, until the arbitrators final ruling.
There will be no reinstatement of lost raises, break time, holidays. Just a monetary sum, for wages lost during that set period. Thats the way it was explained to me. Dont know if its 100% correct, if anybody is for sure let me know.
But I hope nobody out there is holding their breath thinking we are going to get all our raises, and bonus money, break time and holidays back. That just isnt going to happen. It is a dog and pony show, we all know that. Its a grand stand by the IUAW to try and save face for getting all the suckers to vote yes to giving up their raises and breaks. Im not counting on getting a dime. But if we do, ill take it. But Ill still know that, its BS, and not nearly enough. At least Ill know that I wasnt one of the fools that voted to give all of it up in the first place.

You would be correct...the grievance can't get us items that are negotiated in the contract...only a single payment which will be calculated by the mediator.

The grievance will only get us Shut Up Money! Take this lump sum and Shut Up!

I predict we win the grievance and are awarded a whopping $1 a piece before taxes, union dues, and legal fees.

I believe we will owe the company money which will be in the form of a pay adjustment over an 8 week period.

the members voted to leave the concessions as permanent in the last contract vote...how can you expect to receive compensation when you agree to the changes last year....expect nothing!
