Union Meeting Minutes
Fern Valley Hall
April 10, 2012
KTP Chairman's Report
• The order bank is as follows: Super Duty 40,002 units; Expedition 8,779 units
and Navigator 1,170 units. This has the plant on a 1,377 unit production schedule
off chassis which is a 9.1/9.2 hour shift. At this time we have no Saturdays
scheduled.
• Vacation shutdown will be the week of July 2, 2012, and will be only one week.
• The union and company have designed and purchased commemorative coins.
These coins will be given to employees as recognition that go above and beyond
their normal duties in quality, moral and safety. I want to personally thank Terri
Lewellen for her work in designing the art work for these coins.
• All KTP employees should have received a new derby pin last week from their
supervisor or committeeman. If you have not, please let your committeeperson
know immediately. The pins were made for KTP and Voith employees only and
will get you in any derby event that a regular Pegasus Pin would.
• Congratulated the fifty winners of the drawing for the tickets to attend the
Thunder over Louisville party atop Humana parking garage.
• There have been 28 jobs open for bid in the last two weeks. Once these are filled
there will probably be additional jobs for bid. Bids are posted on Monday morning
and stay open to the next Monday morning. You can access the bids through the
HPS.
• We currently have fifty TPT employees to help cover AWOLs, medicals and
personal time on Mondays and Fridays. Any paint or body #1 shift employee has
a right to work in the final area on Friday nights. If you want to work you need to
notify your supervisor on Sunday before you leave.
• Management has started to survey employees for their vacation preference this
week and must have the preferences by April 20, 2012. Then within one week
they must have it posted. After that they will start to survey the second round on
April 30, 2012 and must be done by May 11, 2012. The final list must be posted
by May 28, 2012.
• The plant manager and I are going to start having lunch with a team each month
to show appreciation for their hard work and dedication. We will provide lunch.
This is a good opportunity for the plant leadership to recognize individual teams.
• The plant will have a 100 foot by 50 foot banner placed on the side of the
Stamping Plant recognizing the Super Duty and our employees.
• KTP will participate in the Mayor Give a Day Program by working at the St.
Joseph orphanage on April 20, 2012. We will paint some of the interior rooms
and do some landscaping.
