10-1 is national language, not local. The IUAW and Ford are rolling the 10-1 out at different plants at different times. They have assured us we will get 10-1 with team leaders elected. What we don't know is WHEN that will happen. That is under their (IUAW) control.
So since it may be a year or longer before we get 10-1 we are leaving the local team language in place in order to protect the membership during that time. If it takes a year or more for the 10-1 to come and we do not have our current language in place that leaves the door open for them to expand teams until we do go to it. It would be stupid to scrap our language and have nothing in place to bridge the gap.

2015 is not a year. To me this is unacceptable!!! Why is the union so hell bent on NOT bidding TL jobs??? Contract is a big fat NO for me

I don't believe anything not in writing. Oops, the contract is always subject to change.

It's nothing more than a hand shake with the option to open at anytime the company sees fit.

Kess is right about the IUAW language. Responsibilities of TL's will change completely and there will be a load of distractions with it. Enjoy your bathroom breaks now. Protection is needed in many areas with it.

Enjoy your bathroom breaks? I am sorry but a person has to go they have to go , the union should not allow a team leader to not give bathroom breaks!
