I can't stand it no more -------> enough with the bid TL jobs. Put that on the next local contract and you'll have 75% turn it down. I understand all points of views on this topic (pros and cons) , but the majority don't want it . -------> Please put it to rest and move on to something else. Well, there you have it. Popeye doesn't want TL bid, so don't do it. Must be a TL.

No problem. But the fact, as I see it, is the membership has not been given an opportunity to vote on this issue without constrictions being put on the issue. Let us vote on bid TL's, with no grandfathering, and the 10-1 ratio the national proposed, and see what the result is.
But our leadership has not felt that our opinions matter, so you have what we have now. Pissed off, disenfranchised rank and file workers, whose only defense is to turn down the crap that's put on our plate. And I'll do it again.

If they put the TL jobs in to bid and no grandfathering and 10-1 and it doesn't pass...then it's no different then the Union trying to force things down our throat without asking our opinion on the 1st two votes....but maybe...just maybe the membership understand what the 10-1 ratio means...alot more team leaders and maybe...just maybe the members and the union can support the only thing we have left...seniority.

Won't know unless we vote on it...and the grandfathering issue one way or another is the deciding factor.

Exactly...but for some reason, the are afraid to put this to a vote. Why vote on pretty much the same contract twice? Horrible representation on their part.

Marcus, the number for frame is 6 for day shift and 3 for nights plus 1per team thru September 7th. That gives days 24 per day and nights 21 per day for vacation usage.

Why is the number different between shifts? Day shift people matter more?

There is a formula that you go by and that is how you find the number of people per day.

So I guess in the formula A is greater than B. That makes sense.

I comes down to this. Day shift has more Senior employees on there shift . Which equates to more vacation hours available. Thus the greater number aloud off on calender per day. DAYS Vs. NIGHTS. So it isn't that a shift is getting treated better. It comes down to what everyone on here has been arguing about SENIORITY!!!!! The more seniority you have the more vacation time available.
