How did you see one at LAP? We don't build them at LAP we build them at KTP. Are you retiring from Ford? If so you should know where they are built.

We're getting plenty of your vehicles here at LAP. They're being driven in, stored out back and I even saw some on rail cars here (though I don't know if they were being loaded here or not).

Yeah a friend of mine just informed me that we are storing some over there. I did not know that. So I apologize to the OP for my previous post. And to answer his original question it will probably be sometime in July. That's usually when we change over model years.

The biggest change this year from what I've read will be the SD getting Sync and My ford touch

I was wondering if anyone, maybe some trim person might know, if or when are they going to put the console shifter like some of the F150's have in the Super Duties?? That's something new that I'd really want in a Super Duty.

I saw them being loaded on rail cars behind LAP a week or so ago and wondered why they were there myself.

I don't think there are any major changes for 2013.

CAFE standards kick in completely for 2016! Everything in your fleet needs to get 35.5 MPG! (Commercial vehicles need a 20%(Somewhere around there) increase in fuel economy. That includes over the road big trucks. The current Super Duty does not meet the future guideline. Link: www.autoblog.com/2009/05/19/obama-cafe-increase-an-historic-agreement-to-help-america-brea/ CAFE standards then ramp up between 2017-2025. By 2025, all cars sold must average 54.5mpg. Link: www.hybridcars.com/news/obama-adminstration-and-automakers-settle-2017-2025-cafe-rules-30597.htmlSo, a all new super Duty with better gas mileage is now mandated by your government, or it will go away.

Aluminum bodies coming...and several weight saving engineering ideas to help the company average...they are good to go.

cant wait till one of those aluminum bodied trucks folds up like a pop can in a wreck and people start dying. it will be the 70's all over again. god we are doomed as long as the government keeps dictating what and how we are to build vehicles. I'm not bashing what we will be building, this will we be an across the board epic failure.

Aluminum body for the super duty has already been scrapped by VO. Not enough funds to cover the total retool.

So it's good to continue to be dependent on foreign oil?? LOL

no we need to get our own oil from our own soil. or should have taken it from the Iraq's as payment for gettin rid of saddam. or afghani's for gettin rid of the taliban. or hell just go on into Iran and take it from them just because. or take it from the saudi's for 9/11 any other questions? its a dog eat dog world out there might as well get paid like a big dog

Well if this US, the largest user of oil in the world, is going to rely on our own sources we better get ready to use a whole lot less.....hence the need for much better mileage.

First of all it's not "our" oil, it belongs to globally traded companies like Exxon, who will sell it to the highest payer... The US has cut back on usage, one reason is that our autos get better mileage, but we are still the #1 user in the world, somewhere between 19-20 million barrels...a day.

Of whos realestate is that oil coming from? I believe it is coming from US realestate.

The US imports more crude oil from Canada than any other country at this time.
