I know we beat our union to death daily, but I've never seen such incompetent management in my 25 years of working. How hard is it to post a drot or pay your employees correctly? It really doesn't seem that hard of a task, but it's nearly impossible at KTP. It seems to me that after so many pay screw ups, someone would be held accountable...I wonder how many of us would be reprimanded if we fucked our jobs up everyday? Then when you point out their error...they are in no hurry to correct it or act as if they care one bit. Maybe their checks are getting screwed up as well...and they're taking it out on us? Fuck this place...

The lack of ability, knowledge, legal qualification, or fitness to discharge a required duty or professional obligation.
The term incompetency has several meanings in the law. When it is used to describe the mental condition of a person subject to legal proceedings, it means the person is neither able to comprehend the nature and consequences of the proceedings nor adequately able to help an attorney with his defense. When it is used to describe the legal qualification of a person, it means the person does not have the legal capacity to enter a contract. When it is employed to describe a professional duty or obligation, it means that the person has demonstrated a lack of ability to perform professional functions.

Pay corrections are an easy fix, LL6 and above, has the ability to go into the two's system and do an H402 pay correction which is an immediate pay correction. So, if your drot is posted like it's supposed to be and not correct go area manager, ME manager or even Superintendent they can make the correction on the spot... Additionally for pay shortages, the controllers office has the ability to issue a correction check for any pay ending week, after the fact if payending week has already closed.... Of course all the actions have an influence on the supervisor's performance review which pisses them off.

I am aware of all that...but since I see about 4 drots a month, I'm never aware of the pay discrepancies. I believe my drot issue may be taken care of for now...but I'm not holding my breath that I will see one every night. I saw one last night...prior to that...about 3 other times in May.

Maybe I should start a new thread, "You might be a KTP Supervisor if..."
you have a college degree in landscape design but never supervised anyone, anywhere, anyhow... you got fired from McD's for referring to Big Mac's as Whoppers.... your last stroke only killed the right side of your brain... and...you think a DROT is only a tool for ESTIMATING what you owe your supervisees.

It's not your unions job to hold your hand and pat you on the ass. Take some responsibility for yourself. If you see 4 drots in a month, its your own fault. Personally, when I was a TL, I would check my teams drot and address any issues immediately. I think it would be interesting to be sitting in labor relations having a hearing for disrespect or failure to follow instructions with a supervisor who continually made pay mistakes. But then again, that would actually require a some good representation, so scratch that. My advice, stay on a supervisors ass, hard. Or get your TL to actually do something. It's really not that hard, everyone should be held responsible to do their job. Be consistent.

It would be nice to have a team leader...but since I don't, I don't see drots. I did see two this past week...so it's getting better.
