That would have equated to almost an one hour a week pay increase...

That would have equated to almost an one hour a week pay increase... but as we all know...one time, not for life and that's the issue we have faced in the past 8 yrs.

A yearly "hush money" bonus is NOTHING compared to a raise. Do the math.

I like how I grossed a little more than 1600 on my paycheck because I worked Memorial Day and my net was almost 1200. But the 1500 dollar bonus check i only got 900. Must be that new Ford math.

It's not ford math, it's government math. Any bonus gets taxed at a higher tax rate, up in he 40% range.

Thats my question exactly Marcus. They rounded all the deductions to the nearest dollar. Seems wierd to me too. But when I file my taxes thats that much less tax liability I will have. ;D

Its been this way for several years now, christmas bonus, profit sharing, signing bonus etc. Anything thats not your hourly wages basically falls into this 40ish percent tax rate, I dont know if its called capital gains or not but I do know its due to a change that Mr.Clinton made when he was in office. Its nothing new, we've been losing money on it for several years now.
