Bearing in mind that sometimes the mail is slow you may not get it by Friday. I just filed online and it appears that Labor did electronically open the claim for us as normal. I have had delays in getting my paperwork before and went ahead and filed online with no problems. Thats just my take on it so do what you feel is best for you.

All the time we were laid off last year at LAP my paperwork always came a week late & we always filed on Sunday. It got to the point it was almost funny, just stopped worrying about paperwork & filed my claim when I knew I was supposed to.

Two things each one need to understand, 1. This is not like very other time we filed. In the past we knew up to a week in advance and the paperwork was submitted prior to us going out.
2. This is LAP, they do things different here. No need to jump the gun on something WE THINK SHOULD BE RIGHT.
This is why I said I would wait for the paperwork on Monday or get a better understanding from my union rep. True thy always don't tell us the truth but in this case (after the bogus grievance) I don't think they would want to tell us something that is wrong. Too many people ready and able to start calling them out on things in this day and time. I wouldn't want to be a union rep right now for anything. Even if those that filed have to refile, my guess is they won't admit to it.
My guess is the paperwork got submitted ealry this week and the state kinda didn't get it files in time.

Just called to check my status. I have been given credit for claiming the week ending 7/21/2012 but no check was issued. So my waiting week is in the system and now I just have to wait for my SUB
