I think some of our reps are at Black Lake this week. HMM, they are getting paid a 40 hour check and we are getting UI/SUBPAY. I hope I am wrong on this but it wouldn't surprise me to hear what I posted.

Labor sends it in electronically as always. You will have to claim a check on Sunday as normal. They will notify Ford that we don't get a check because of waiting week then we will be paid full SUB. Any subsequent weeks you will get a UI check. But this one once you claim the wek will be put down as your waiting week. for the 12 month period.

I know our committeeman is in Florida with his family this week, I don't know if its union work/ vacation or not, I would be pissed if they get to take their family on our dime. And I will ask when he gets back, but then again business as usual for 862....

Ford will open your claim electronically. You will then receive an explanation of benefits from the State. You will then call or file on line. If filing online you want to request a check. NOT open new claim. Once that is done, and with the New State Law for a bye week. You should receive your Sub Pay in about 7-10 days. As far as union reps. Getting a 40hr check, NOT the case. They will have to file unemployment just like you and me.

Once again Ford will open your claim. If you file online which is quicker. You will request a check. NOT open a claim. The questions online are the same as the phone questions.

Mail just ran, nothing from Ford KTP or the State. KTP had a week to get us the info, so the question remains do we call in this Sunday or not?

Team Leader text and said NOT to call unemployment Sunday. Wait til we get a card and there will be a handout explaining what to do on Monday.

It would be nice for our union leadership to give us a little insight to this matter. Scott's website hasn't been updated since the union meeting minutes.

Really folks this is not our first layoff. It is the same as it has always been except the new waiting week. You MUST claim a check to get credited that waiting week and get your full SUB pay. That way any subsequent weeks WILL be paid. I was in Labor last Monday to drop off some paperwork and was told by the rep that it is the same as always and to file for the check on Sunday like normal. We did this off and on for over a year in 2008 and 2009. Its the same thing. Nothing has changed except the waiting week. Seriously folks its just common sense.

Your right Joe, it is common sense. The big difference this time is that we got the call to be off on a Sunday night, even though upper Management and our local leader's had a pretty good Idea tat we would be off. A letter should have went out first thing Monday morning. Now with that said, I won't take a chance on calling tomorrow only to find out at a later time that I screwed up. I will wait for a letter to be given to me on Monday, if I do not get a letter on Monday, then believe mebuddy MY UNION REP WILL GET AN EAR FULL FROM ME ON TUESDAY. NOT TO MENTION THE WHOLE UNION OFFICE AS WELL. That is a fact jack. We have all next week to call in, as long as we do so by Saturday but this leadership and management does not give a rats ass about us, otherwise WE WOULD HAVE HAD THE GOD$%^& INFO ALREADY.
