Honestly its all about your team..I worked 3yrs in ptrim then 6 in excursion and the excursion team was awesome..the work wasnt too bad..weall stuck together and we made our jobs easier..Never worked frame.been in body for 7 yrs now.Its better but its hot dirty and you cant hear yourself think..I would stay away from trim to many jackass sup.s that think they run this place.

Worst thing about trim...getting in/out of vehicles on some jobs. I prefer frame...just different levels of suck.

FRAME....no contest in my opinion. Some jobs are nice in trim...but my bet is your gonna not roll up on one of those...most times Frame is the choice.

I worked almost 17 years of trim before I got out.........go to the trim department and ask them the same question. I bet a paycheck most would trade you blind....and wave at you as they walk away.
I'm serious - go ask.
Just my two cents.

Frame is better. Trim is the last place I would ever go again.

Thats right the team doesnt do the job.But when I was in excursion if they tried to get us to do more work all of a sudden the whole team had a PROBLEM.We actually watched out for each other.Thats someting that dont happen here anymore. Its just nice to know that if you dont do a fucked up job and get sent home that the other guy they put on it wont do it either. Therefore we win and they have to either move the work or give you help everyday, and they did believe me.So TEAM does matter.. I think.

If you get on a team that chooses not to rotate jobs and you ate on the worst job then yes it matters.

1999-Hired in in SD Paint 2000-Involuntarily rolled to Excursion Body 2002-Shift reduction in Ex body-involuntarily rolled to Frame 2005-Involuntarily rolled to Trim 2006-Voluntarily rolled to SD Body-Request was in for 3 years
If I have to be rolled again I hope and pray they send me back to Frame. It has some crappy jobs but all in all is way better than Trim IMO. So If you are already in Frame stay there as long as you can.

1993, on frame the whole time.
Everybody I know that's gone from frame to trim, regretted it, and would come back.
