We are going to work this Saturday the 4th of August . Final area is #3 shift 3:30 pm start time .. Body & Paint #1 & #3 shifts.

The Plant Manager sez that Dearborn is insisting that some how, some way, KTP must make up our lost production before October (in the third quarter).

Wonder what changed, was number 2 & 3 shift for body and paint and now #1 and #3? who knows what the hell their doing.

# 2 Shift worked 4 hours in paint last Saturday, was to late to cancel them. Guess it was just enough to change overtime to #1 shift.

That means that they are only scheduling both shifts at 6 hrs.(orr that was the talk last night)C crew was short shifted one hour Monday...we are having to give up our weekend for 5 hrs...come on union!! This is crazy!!!

Its official...6 hours for midnight and 6 hours for afternoon body/paint and 8 hours for final 330 start

If we are that far behind - why 6 hours production on Saturday?!!!! You've already screwed up the weekend for the masses. Why not catch up on production? Why not give 8 hours to the ones sacrificing their weekend?
What happened to coming in for 8 hours? Was that given up in this contract also? What else has the union given into?
What's next? 4 hour Saturdays?

Maybe we can work 2.9 on Sundays to help pay for the Florida trip the union just came back from!!!

I thought the same thing...I'd be highly pissed off if I came in on a weekend for a SCHEDULED 6 hr day. They can do that...

Don't get me wrong, I like the overtime and the extra money, but for karma I would love to see the press blow a rod straight through the wall of the stamping plant and that beautiful banner our union leaders are sooooo proud of!!!!

Being scheduled for only 6 hours is bad enough, but when the company short shifts you then expects us to work 6 days for straight time. Some have lost two hours this week and with us only working 6 hrs-we are in essense working for straight time on Saturday..2 hours to make our 40 then 4 hours at time and a half=6..straight time...

I believe we are scheduled to work august 11 the as well. Two Saturday's in a row. They can do that!!

So we are scheduled to work this Saturday (B CREW), and next Saturday as well? Don't get me wrong I hate to give up my weekends just like everyone else does but with at least full days of production lost why is it that A CREW don't have to work this weekend either. If I remember correctly all shift's lost equally on production. Oh Yeah, it is so that A CREW can work Labor Day and get triple pay and B CREW can work a Sunday for double pay. Makes sense I guess from the union leader's view point. In the meantime, B CREW will have to suck it up and sweat more in August than A CREW. It is getting about time that Scott and Company need to go back to the line to get back in touch with reality.

Labor day would be double time + holiday pay. I guess you could say triple time but everyone will get that 8 hrs for the holiday. Then when B crew works on Sunday, it will be double time. It works out the same after all is done. Nobody is making more than the other.

A crew will get the option to bank labor day as personal time.
