Retiree JERRY WAYNE FORD SR., 65, passed away 12/15/13
FORD, JERRY WAYNE SR., 65, of Lebanon Junction, returned to his Heavenly Father
on Sunday, December 15, 2013 while surrounded by loved ones at his home. Mr.
Ford was born in Louisville on October 11, 1948, he graduated from Seneca High
School in 1967. He was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church and he served his
country in the United States Army in the Vietnam War. He retired from Ford Motor
Co., LAP after 32 years of service. After retirement, he continued to work at
Ford Motor Co. for Apex Quality Control. Mr. Ford was a Master Mason at McNeil
Lodge #586 and he loved gardening, hunting, fishing and cooking for his family
and friends, he especially loved to cook and serve at church functions.
Among those who preceded him in death include, his father, Henry H. Ford.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 41 years, Hope Ford; son,
Jerry Wayne Ford Jr.; grandchildren, Jerry Wayne Ford III and Connor William
Ford; mother, Gladys Ruth Ford; sisters, Glenda Casper (Joe) and Judy Seelye
(Steve); brothers, Henry Harold Ford and Jesse Johnson (Norma Jean); and several
nieces, nephews, in-laws and other family and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at
Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy., at Brooks Rd.)
with internment in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may pay their respects on
Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. at Schoppenhorst with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.
Expressions of Sympathy may be made to Maple Grove Baptist Church.
