Things you should know about your contract IN-PLANT EMERGENCY REPORTING- From any in plant telephone you must dial 711 to report an emergency. It rings into Plant Security and Medical. The individual reporting the emergency must remain calm and stay on the line so that they can provide the following information:
The location of the incident
The nature of the incident
Are there injuries
Types of injuries
The person who answers the telephone will tell the caller when they have enough information, and that it is alright to hang up.
REPORTING EMERGENCIES BY 2-WAY RADIO- Channel 1 is the primary channel that is always monitored by Plant Security. Let security know the nature of the emergency. Security will alert Plant Medical, ERT’s and 1st Responders.
Emergency Response Team members and 1st Responders have been supplied with pagers. They will be notified through the paging system of actions that require there involvement.

Hopefully this will prevent what happened to me for some one else!!!
I had a heart attack on the line back in February while on the line and it took over 10 mins. for the emergency response to get to me, and that was not including the 45 mins. that I had to wait for someone to relieve me because I wanted to go to medical. I went down and thankfully, my co-workers took action by pressing the buttons to get the attention for help!
I feel this was excessive amount of time to wait to be relieved.
More people need to be trained for emergencies that may happen on the lines!
