Anyone get their Rx at svs and buy their glasses somewhere else? Just wondering if I really need to pay $400 for a decent pair of glasses. Thanks

Be careful SVS has a bad habit of listing your RX on yor receipt different than what's in the Doctors file. A honest mistake I'm sure (not) it happen to my wife and two other people I know who didn't buy glasses after their eye exam. It was a big hassle getting them fixed

They did it to me this past week also. I only get what is offered under the contract and nothing extra. I asked for my prescription and they gave me the wrong one. I also agree they do it on purpose. They are so high on extra I will never buy from them. I go to Zenni Optical and order online.

Our whole family gets glasses at SVS. Love them! Never pay anything for our glasses, as long as you get the free ones, which are nice looking. Also they give my kids free photo gray tint and free anti-glare.

Thanks for all the input, I get no lines on my bifocals which is extra, thinner lenses because my eyes are so bad they look like coke bottles if I don't. ....which is extra, anti glare because I have trouble driving at night if I don't......which is extra. Plus my frames they don't hsve anymore which were free & I didnt like any of the new free ones so that was extra, its no fun getting old :-) still $400 was pretty outrageous I thought for 1 pair of glasses

Why cant we ask the doc for the rx before we get out of his little room, before he gives it to the women?

I got my rx from them and used it to get rx sunglasses (driving towards the plant blinds my ass) from Zenni and it was fine. RX was right on the money.
