In Solidarity, SMS Retiree Earl Lawrence Schepers, 64, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at the Jewish Hospital. Earl Lawrence Schepers Earl was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church & the United Auto Workers Union. He had retired from the Ford Motor Company. Preceded in death by his three brothers, Butch, Donnie and Linus Schepers. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Toni (Zackery) Schepers; children, Amy French (Scott), Darren Schepers (Dremia), Debbie Yancey (Brian) & Alecia "Lisa" Thurman (Mitch); two sisters, Betty Binford (John) & Beverly Brockman (Mike); five grandchildren, Matthew (Samantha), Joshua, Damon, Caleb and Mia; other special grandchildren in his life, Selena and Natalee Thurman, Brittany, Brooke, Baylee Yancey and Alexis King; and many special nieces, nephews family & friends. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 5431 Johnsontown Road. with burial in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. Memorial gifts to Southwest Development Center.
