LAP Retiree Claude Jay Jenkins passed away 1/31/15 Jenkins, Claude Jay, 83 of Woods of Glenmary was born July 6, 1931 to the late Henry and Dorothy McCormick Jenkins in Barron County, KY. and returned to his Heavenly Father January 31, 2015. Mr. Jenkins was a member of Thixton Lane Baptist Church, a U.S. Air Force veteran, a retired employee for Ford Motor Company and a member of United Auto Workers. Among those who preceded him in death include his son, Chris Jenkins; sisters, Roberta Talley; brother, Jerry Jenkins; and his parents. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Mildred Sanders Jenkins; sons, Scott (Pam), Mark, Brian (Sue) and Gary Jenkins (Marchell); step daughter, Kim Mathes (Frank); sisters, Betty Butler and Margie Bottorff; brother, Ronnie Jenkins (Brenda); a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other family and friends. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Thixton Lane Baptist Church 7700 Thixton Lane with interment in Lone Hill Cemetery.
