First you all negotiate 11 hr workdays for stamping/body/paint in exchange for a parking lot and now....in stamping line 2 will now go to lunch at 11:30 so they can run line 1 while they go to lunch at noon!! The contract CLEARLY states early breaks/lunches for breakdowns only. Every time you guys negotiate something we get or ass handed to us. You all wanna renogoitate language how about renogotiating something that benefits us! Damn shame whats going on up there.

If you continue to "reopen" a contract to benefit one side, you don't really have a contract do you?

The powers that be, in this local, & international dont give a rats ass about your well being, your family life, or whether or not your contract is honored. From Gettlefinger on, the rank and file have been getting their asses kicked, losing benefits, & money.
The uaw is a corporation. They're going to make sure their money source remains fluid. Waste money on electing democrats? Raise dues. Get punked into thinking chassis cabs would go to Ohio? Break contract force people to run 11 hrs. Its not going to end anytime soon .
Beware, be very observant at contract time. The next scheme they're going to run is going to go after our pensions under the guise of having the union manage it. Its coming.

I bet we never stop going 11 hrs..That's going to be our new schedule forever..I'm just hoping they offer a early out for 20 plus yrs..Or a buyout..I would offer that if I owned the place. And I bet the %goes up for the lower tier ...Makes sense to get rid of older workers at 29 an hour and replacing them with 15 an hour...

After years of hearing us bitch about a raise, they're gonna get us one. Bank on it. Just think about it: if we get a raise, the dues (@2 1/2 hrs) are going to be much fatter. We will get shafted on healthcare in exchange for a raise and be worse off than we are now. Meanwhile, they get more dues money for doing less. Makes perfect sense.

I have noticed that we have lost everywhere except our base pay rate. As such only the workers have been affected by the give backs, meanwhile the IUAW has been somewhat insulated.

Yes I agree it makes great sense "for FORD" my only fear is what happens then if the eligible take the buyout, And the percentage gets to that sweet spot. We the retired are powerless as to voting correct, as in we can no longer vote? asking.. If this is the case, I predict we the retired will soon be without any benefits to aid us in survival. You will have a workforce at half the pay rate that will vote any way they are led with a chance of any gain in hourly wage. How long before they "FORD UAW" say here`s a chance to make $3 more on the hour, all you have to do is vote these retiree benefits away? UAW is about keeping the numbers=dues, doesn`t matter who`s paying them ! So FORD is making bank with a workforce of a low pay scale, and no longer paying a retiree benefits. This is all simply a thought not gospel, I definitely am not a person of corporate knowledge.

Yup Not much chance of a young workforce making any sacrifice to preserve a pension that they'll never see themselves

I'm just one person but I know several people family and friends that are getting close to retirement. I personally wouldn't vote down anyone's pension/retirement. I'm 2 tier but I did read an article about Fords goal to buy out all salary pension plans by 2014 or roll them into a different plan once they reached a certain age. I'm not sure what year they stopped with pension plans for salary. With what I read, the pension plans are driven by a % of the company's profit. I don't think we 2 tier can change what is already in place in regards to that. I don't think I know it all, I'm just basing the opinion from what I read. My guess is they will offer the hourly a pension buyout?! One thing I know for sure is I will never see a pension and I will never get to see a union, United. Like I said I'm one person. Ford is investing billions in Mexico right now. Supposedly for engines and transmissions. So the scare tactics are already in place because a Ford representative didn't want to comment on their plans. I'm in my mid 40's. I don't know what the hell to do because the IUAW will manipulate these votes in favor for them not for us.

I agree whole heartedly.I personally would love to cut all ties with Ford.Give me a lump some payment. Of what my retirements worth and I'll do with it what I thinks best for my future..As far as insurance since the liberal UAW and MOST of its workforce voted for obammy your screwed already. The Companies in the USA are gonna run( get your own insurance) in the ground so I'm already preparing to buy my own as a worker here or gone..I hope we don't lose our insurance ever but THEY did it.Good luck vote NO!

We prolly won't have to worry about retirement anyways. The economy will prolly tank before that happens. I truly believe that. 18 trillion dollars plus in debt, TPP is currently being fast tracked, it's over. Just that not enough people care, I think the large corporations see the writing on the wall, that's why they're all trying to "get theirs" before that happens. But alas, those who build up treasures on earth... The lesson here is that we can't rely on our fellow man to be our savior. We were taught that lesson over and over and still we don't listen.

Twice a week!!!... I aint seen nobody in body for over a month. Who is the lazy piece of crap who does body on B...? That would be Pete Tugon. He has 60+ years of service so he has every other week off, I think, he's always off so he must have that kind of time in. You can text or call him at 502 777-0771.

We see Charlie Jones or an alternate everyday on Engine Line and in Tire Room. It sucks we pay our dues on a regular basis but other areas are represented only when it is convenient for certain Union Reps!

Committee men are employees of FoMoCo, the dues you are forced to pay has nothing to do with financial support of local committee or bargaining reps

I'm guessing he meant we are forced to pay for UNION BENEFITS,but we (not me ) never see their Rep..?Which is a really good gripe .
