Bodyshop can't keep up. With the awesome 11hr schedule body works, skilled trades can't/doesn't have time to do pm's/fixes. That creates more down time during shift... Creating a further production "gap" between body, paint and final. The cycle continues on a weekly basis. Between Monday night shift in body and Thursday night, the system "lost" over 1400 units. You add in weekend OT production in body to make up lost production that happened during the week, it takes its toll on the maintenance Bodyshop seriously needs. With the added heat of summer, it will only increase down time in body. Robots, controllers, computers and various other heat generating items have a very hard time keeping cool when temps rise. Not to mention the dirty filters and so forth that can't/won't get cleaned. Very little, to no down time for preventative maintenance WILL kill production.
tl;dr -No Sunday because Body shop sucks. No time to fix crap because heat kills electronics. Body can't keep up. They cancel because body needs to fill system.

Its just a matter of time before Ford sends work to another plant because we cant keep up. No matter what the union does to try and save it for our plant (working everyone to death)Ford always has a backup plan in the works.Heck, after people transferred down here the last time from Ohio which was not that long ago, I heard they were hiring up there very recently.Something is in the works up there and we are always the last to know. Now with trades having issues and machines breaking down, how long do you think Corporate is going to put up with that Just sayin........
