Has anyone ever had to take an excel test and interview for a bid job? Heard some quality jobs are coming up and they'll be doing both? Anybody know what they test for??

It's basic excel knowledge. Can you create a basic spread sheet, graph, formula? If not, brush up on it. Search Youtube for Excel tutorials. More than likely, they will have a basic template and all you will have to do is input numbers/data.

These specifics are a way to get the people in the job they want. Everyone can be trained on any job...we all come in the plant and learn everything from that point on. Brush up on excel from lessons off youtube.com and you will be good.

Thanks for the good info! I don't think those jobs come open very often...I'll cross my fingers!

I took the excel test...I was shocked it was a pretty in depth test of your ability on Excel. As others stated, it's more about how to locate a particular cell, how to enter info into the cell, using formulas to total columns, etc... They also tested typing speed and accuracy...pretty basic stuff, but if someone has never used Excel, there's no way they could pass the test. The more you learn about Excel, the better off you will be.
