I'm fully aware not every one could afford to go on strike and I mean no ill favor to anyone that cannot afford to... But I wish the Union would grow some and put the Co. In its place!! It would be nice to feel that Pride we once did.

"Conversely, even though labor represents less than 7% of the cost of a new vehicle, the companies are determined to remain competitive with foreign automakers who can make vehicles for less." Ford keeps crying the blues about our wages not being competitive but if our wages are "less than 7% of the cost of a new vehicle" maybe wages isn't where the problem is, only the easiest to deal with since we ALWAYS vote yes on whatever they offer us. There's another 93% of the cost of the new vehicle that could be reckoned with, maybe they need to take a look somewhere else to reduce cost.

I've been thru many of these contracts and I find it amusing that the day before it's suppose to be settled they pick a company. They should be done by now. They've had four years to get ready

Dont think anyone wants to strike but how else are we gonna get anything? Union bosses will get what they want out of the deal and the rest of us slugs will get lesss. At least thats the way it feels. Who was the union official that stated we got some of the losses back in 2011? The way I see it, he probably got something out of the deal and is out of touch with the membership. 22yrs and I dont remember hearing as little as we have about the contract talks. Anyway it seems our leadership is scared, indifferent, or in bed with the company. why would they choose Chrysler? Seems strange.

Marchionne with FCA believes in wealth distribution. He wants to keep Legacy employees at their current hourly wage DURING a transition period to a NEW pay scale system where Legacy and Tier 2 employees make the same hourly wage that is LOWER than current Legacy employees hourly wage. He offers bigger profit sharing checks when times are good. Wonder who is having the good time & what the stock holders definition of 'good times' are??? This is who the UAW picked to be the lead contract negotiator. No concessions my a..

My guess small raise for legacy and a big one for low tier..Which sux. Then less profit sharing for all of us..Its a NO regardless from me..They have more tier 1 (Chrysler)that has to be the reason..assholes.

Chrysler has the MOST entry level 2nd Tier workers...that's what you meant, right? That's the only reason they would've picked them...use them as an example of how to bring up the 2nd tier...I still say they'll go to a "x number of years to reach full pay"...like 10 for example? Here are the breakdowns by company: Another thorny issue for the UAW and Fiat Chrysler is the percentage of hourly workers who are entry-level workers: More than 42%, far more than the 28.5% at Ford and 19% at GM.
