Stone ROBO call at 9:00am for 100 production jobs at Dearborn Truck Plant Script for LAP Robo call: Attention Louisville Assembly Plant employees: A SPECIAL out-of-zone permanent job opportunity is available to all eligible active and laid off non-skilled UAW hourly employees for transfer to the Dearborn Truck Plant in Michigan. Employees who were already selected for openings in Chicago are not eligible. It is important to note that there is no relocation incentive for this transfer opportunity and employees selected will not be eligible for return to basic or return home provisions. Extended: Anyone interested must sign up NO LATER THAN 3:00 PM on August 6, 2010 at the UAW Local 862 Union Hall on Fern Valley Road. Can someone in the UAW tell me how the company can get around "NOT PAYING" the moving allowance? I thought it was in the contract or is this something else that the company found a loop-hole so they can fill the jobs with tempts?
