Order Bank: Explorer 13,837, Mountaineer 1,126, Sport Trac 3,988, Total 18,951
Tentative Friday’s and Saturday’s: Friday’s are Sept. 3, 10,17,
24, Oct. 8,15,22, Nov. 5 and 12. Saturdays are Oct. 9 and 23. All is
subject to change or cancellation. No down weeks are projected currently.
All hours worked on Friday and Saturday will be Overtime Pay.
Labor Day at the Zoo: 11th Annual Labor Day Picnic and Car Show is Sept.
6, 10am till 3pm. Lunch served from 11am to 3pm. Please visit web site for

or at the gate and under 3 are free. See Ralph Napier for tickets, 3674 or

Union Meeting: Union meeting is Sept. 7, LAP Union Hall, at 12pm and 6pm.
Please contact your Chairman or President if you are required by the
by-laws to attend and unable to make the meeting to be excused.
UAW Local 862 Picnic: Sept. 26, Louisville Water Tower from 10am till 5pm.
Food will be served from 11am-4pm. The picnic is only open to UAW members
and their immediate family which are covered under your insurance. UAW
t-shirts will be handed out to members only with proper ID.
Six Flag KY Kingdom Season Passes: We still have several members who
purchased passes and have not returned them to the Financial Secretary for
reimbursement. You have till Oct. 1 to receive your reimbursement for
money.
Day Off Slips: Please make sure you are filling out your Day-Off slips for
Vacation and Personal time. We need the slips filled out for your proof and
our argument about the 8% Contractual Agreement and to verify who was next
for approval. Please see your Supervisor.
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series: The Kentucky Speedway is offering
discount tickets to UAW\FORD employees for 25.00 dollars, with 5.00 dollars
going to charity. Seats are located in grandstands Sec. 3 and 4. Go to
www.kentuckyspeedway.com , Sept. 3 Race, Buy Tickets, enter promo code FordLAP.
Help Needed: We are looking for your suggestions on cafeteria foods and
needs. Do you want hot food ready? Do you want food carts? Do you want fast
food vendors to come in here? Do you want just vending machine food? Do you
just want a cool place to eat and watch TV? Do you want more microwaves n
ice machines? Please write down your suggestions and give to your
committeeperson.
Unemployment: Several people had concerns with receiving a different
amount UI than others. There are several reasons, personal deductions,
medical time off and down weeks. You have to make 8 full weeks of pay in
all 5 Quarters (each quarter is 3 months) to get the full amount of UI. The
25.00 dollars stimulus checks was not approved by Congress. So depending on
your effective date of claim and BYE date, you may have gotten it or may
not. Good thing is, SUB will make up the difference in all cases.
Halloween Party: The Louisville Zoo’s World’s Largest Halloween Party
will start Oct. 1st thru Oct. 31st. The UAW Day is Oct. 30th from 3:30pm
till 9:30pm. Volunteers are needed in non-scary costumes to hand out candy,
set-up around park or work gates. All volunteers must be 16yrs or older.

Elect Mayor Fisher: Greg Fisher has invited all UAW members to attend his
West End office Grand Opening located on 2331 West Broadway, Aug. 28 from
12pm to 2:30pm. Call 772-2333
