Weekly Update September 24, 2010
Order Bank: Explorer 11,767, Mountaineer 320, Sport Trac 2,934, Total 15,021
Last Build Dates: Mountaineer end of build is Sept. 28th , Sport Trac
end of build is Oct. 29th, Explorer end of build is Dec. 16th. These dates are
off the end of chassis and are, “Subject to Change”.
“Change” Tentative Friday’s: No work next Friday Oct. 1.
Overtime Friday’s are 10hrs, Oct. 8,15,22, 29 Nov. 5, 12. All is subject
to change or cancellation.
UAW Local 862 Picnic: Sept. 26, Louisville Water Tower from 10am till
5pm. Food will be served from 11am-4pm. The picnic is only open to UAW 862
members, ILO, Transfers and their immediate family. UAW t-shirts will be
handed out to members only with proper ID.
UAW Policy Grievance: Grievance # PG030210, The Plants Equity of
Sacrifice Grievance is at the umpire stage. The UAW is demanding that the
Company immediately reinstate compensations and benefits from the
modifications of the 2007 National Agreement comparable to what was
restored to the Non-UAW represented employees (Salary Ford Employees). As
we get details we will pass them along.
Bid Jobs: Lots of discussion are still surrounding the jobs that will be
posted. Identify jobs, survey recall classifications, bid freezes,
duration, shift rolls, freeze or not freeze for a period of time, etc. Its
just not as easy as bid them. To bid on the jobs you must be actively
working at LAP, or on medical leave with enough seniority to work.
UL Football Tickets: The next game we will have UL Football tickets for
is the Oct. 9 game vs. Memphis. Tickets are while supplies last. Ralph
will be in main Café during first break up till Oct. 7th.
Union Meeting: Union Meeting is at KTP Union Hall, Oct. 12, at 12pm and
6pm.
T-Shirts For Sale: “Ford Built Without Your Tax Dollars”, each,
several colors available and all proceeds go to Make-A-Wish foundation.

Adopt-A- Child: The Employee Resources Coordinator, Ralph Napier, at ext.
3674, will begin selling 0 squares on their board for Adopt-A Child. You
can purchase your squares now and make monthly or weekly payments till
Dec.. Pay-outs will be 00 1st, 00 2nd, 00 3rd, 00 4th, and 00 for the
kids.
Valvoline Oil Change: After a few glitches in the Valvoline system. We
have contacted the Area Manager Kathy Roberts and she has verified the 15%
discount for all UAW/FORD employees with proper ID. Service Rep will have
to enter code,”FORD”.
Fishing Tournament: UAW Bass Tournament at Barren River Lake,
Oct. 10,2010, 7:30am, Louisville time. Deadline is Oct. 4. Entry fee is
per boat. Everyone in boat must be UAW 862 dues paying members. Please make
check payable to UAW 862 and turn in at union hall.
Halloween Party: The Louisville Zoo’s World’s Largest Halloween
Party will start Oct. 1st thru Oct. 31st. The UAW Day is Oct. 30th from
3:30pm till 9:30pm. Volunteers are needed in non-scary costumes to hand out
candy, set-up around park or work gates. All volunteers must be 16yrs or
older. Please call Vera if you are interested in volunteering, 364-3973
UAW Negotiated Holidays and Election day: Nov. 2,15,25 and 26. All days
will be paid 10hrs except for Nov. 26 which is 8hrs.
The National Dependent Health Care Coverage : UAW and National Ford
Department will be putting out details before the end of the year on the
Dependent Health Care Coverage program for dependents that are not
traditionally covered under our plan, but will be able to, up until age 26.
The plan will take effect Jan. 1, 2011.
Cincinnati Reds Baseball: The Cincinnati Reds are offering UAW/Ford
employees half price tickets for Oct. 2, at 1:10pm ball game. You must buy
online to receive discount, go to web site www.reds.com/lapktp, enter
password, oval.
Rumor Facts: No Announcement has been made or date given to make the
announcement, we are only being told that it will happen sometime in the
fourth Quarter.
