Everybody on ILO at LAP will be recalled first before any transfers come from Indy, right? Oh, do Kansas City people get to transfer in LAP ILO's, also? What if Ford changes the name of Escape like they did Taurus to the 500 and back to the Taurus?

there going to need people , when they start the third shift. The only way the indy people would effect the current work force is if they have more seniority if ever a layoff needed to happen again.

Kansas & TLO & ILO, then Indy. wrong , kansas & louisville tlo & ilo , then ilo by seniority from all U.S. ford plants. there are no agreements that indy can jump in front of a seniority ilo employee. i have 28 years from the closed ach nashville plant and look forward to working with all louisville brothers and sisters. i am also the only one left out of the nashville plant that is a ford employee so it won't be anyone else from here transferring . go vols

True people form Kansas will get to follow their product but LAP has some people on ILO and pretty soon TLO. My personal thought is TLO would have first choice over Kansas but hey I have been wrong before. No lost sleep there. After that I am totally lost cause this crap changes daily. Somewhere in there when this starts, the ones at KTP still have the right to go back to their home plant if they so choose. I say sit back drink some beer and watch the show.

Welcome to the board Dozerman, Who gets to bid first! huff puff... In response to who gets to come to L.A.P. first, I've heard this played out several ways. When they bring people back in from here and there the bids will come and go, and not everyone will be happy. It wouldn't be possible to run without the jobs being assigned to somebody. I know that Ford will not jeopardize production at all of the other plants that the L.A.P. employees landed at, in order to give everyone a chance to bid on a job. As K.T.P. eventually allowed former L.A.P. employees to bid, the same will hold true for people returning to, and those arriving to L.A.P. for the first time. In the end I think we'll all be stuffed under the same roof and working a lot at L.A.P. after 7/2011. Yes in the event of a layoff beyond 7/2011, the "NEW" to L.A.P. brothers and sisters that have higher seniority will have time on some of us, just as you would expect if you transplanted to another plant. With that in mind, if you don't have the Ford seniority over the people that would remain after a layoff, or to hold the job that you got "first dibs" to bid on, whats the point of talking about it?

Transfer of Operations from Kansas City come in after the TLOs. Then the Placement Hierarchy-Appendix N is followed. It starts on Page 210 in the 2007 Agreement Volume 1. The 1st step is the In-Plant Recall, a combined seniority list of employees with Return To Basic Units rights and and employees on layoff from the hiring location. Opportunities for ACH plants (Indy) is in Step 4.

What are they telling you guys about the opening date from the retool at LAP? We in Indy are hearing from our union around December of 2011 but we can never trust our union here.

Well it will be at least 32. If that is "quite a few" in your opinion then so be it. Indy is having a layoff next month, when it is all said and done i dont think 150 people (IMO) will matter on the large scale of things. There wont be that many people left after people retire, etc that will come to LAP.
