Hello, I would like to bring your attention on a new post published on the
UAWLAP.org Site.
Details of the post follow.

Weekly Update October 22, 2010
Order Bank: Explorer 17,159, Sport Trac 1,034, Total 18,193
Last Build Dates: Sport Trac end of build is Oct. 29th, Explorer end of build
is Dec. 16th. These dates are off the end of chassis and are, “Subject to
Change”.
Tentative Friday’s: Overtime Friday’s are 10hrs, Oct. 22, 29 Nov. 5, 12.
Currently 4 left…
Shots at Hall: TODAY after work. Splendid Skin will be giving B12 shots and
Lipovite shots weekly for only dollars each per week. Shots will be available
at the Fern Valley Union Hall starting Friday Oct. 15th from 1:30 to 4:30. If
the plant goes 10hrs, then the hall will be open till 5:30 for shots. Any
questions about the shots please call Charlene at 339-9931. First day we had 101
people get the shots, Awesome.
Bid Update: First week of surveys went fairly well. A lot of people are staying
in their respectful classifications and staying on dayshift. If the
Classification is still full for both shifts, the job will not go up. We are
currently working on having the bid machine program set up for ranking your
preference of job bids. If this does not happen, Labor Relations will have
sheets for numbering your choices 1,2,3,4,etc. Please be respectful to others
trying to bid on jobs during non working times (breaks and lunch).
Bid Internal WEB site: Bids can only be accessed from inside the plant on the
Ford system. Go to www.louisville.ford.com web site, under employee links, next
to pay stub. You should be able to access from any computer in the plant.
Reset Passwords: If you haven’t logged on a computer at the plant please do
so to reset your password. You will need your CDS ID and Password to bid on job
openings. Passwords can only be reset inside the plant on plant computers.
www.at.ford.com , US employees, CDS and password screen or job bid screen.
I9 Forms: If you have not replied to your I9 Form yet, please do so as soon as
you can. For specific information you need to bring in, please log onto
www.newi9.com , 11159 code and enter the correct information. From there it will
tell you what else in necessary to bring in and or sign. Any questions please
call Jan 3642. We are doing good, only about 50 people left.
Temporary Lay-Off: We are currently being told by the Unemployment Office, that
we will have to open our own claims by internet, phone, or visiting one of their
locations. Unemployment office accepts employers claims on short-term basis of
30days or less only and anything over that the individual has to do on their
own.
We are also being told that we will need to seek employment by their guidelines
when we get laid off. You do not have to accept any job offer making a
significant lower wage than what you are making currently. If you have income
that needs to be claimed and reported to UI, that info also needs to be declared
with Labor Relations. Must bring in documentation to Labor Relations, check
stub, or sub pay will not be issued.
Labor Relations: Labor Relations will be working during the downtime in some
capacity to assist employees with any issues that may arise during the
downtime.
Adopt-A-Child: Due to Manpower needs to run the plant, the Employment
Involvement Committee has been unable to collect the amount of money necessary
to have an adopt-a-child program this year. ERC, Ralph Napier, ext. 3674, is
fielding any ideas, taking donations and suggestions to save the program.
Louisville Zoo: October 30th, 2010, the UAW/ Ford Motor Company Volunteer Day.
We will need at least 30 people to work from 3:30p.m. to 9:30 p.m., there are no
partial shifts available. Our volunteers will assist with :
Area Managers - Candy distribution - Crowd control, we are asking that the
volunteers come in their own "not too scary costumes"- no mask that covers the
entire face allowed . This is an outdoor event, please dress accordingly.
Children under 14 years are not allowed with the volunteers as they work for
the event.
Please do not arrange to meet your families later, to trick-r-treat and leave
your assignment. That leaves the area shorthanded and not able to cover
themselves for breaks. Please help us again to make this a success and show the
community that UAW/Ford employees are a strong presence in Louisville. Please
Contact Vera at 364-3973. This is not a free event for everyone, only
volunteers.
Rumor/Fact: The TRUTH, shift start times have not been finalized. They are
looking at 6am or 7am for days and 3 or 4pm for nights till we add the
additional shift. The Truth, KTP employees can not bid on any LAP jobs. The
Truth, if anyone is interested in still going to Chicago must sign up now and be
in Chicago by Nov. 1.
