Weekly Update October 29, 2010
Order Bank: Explorer 14,772, Sport Trac 416, Total 15,188
• Last Build Dates: Sport Trac end of build is TODAY, Explorer end of build is
Dec. 16th. These dates are off the end of chassis and are, “Subject to
Change”.
• UAW Holiday: Nov. 2, Election Day Tuesday, Please remember to vote for
candidates that are going to protect Labor and your Jobs, who has voted for
yours and the UAW rights.
• Holiday Pay: Remember you must work the day before and the day after the
holiday in order to receive holiday pay.
• Family Days: Remember to use your Family Days before you loose them. The
contract will expire while most of us are off work and you will loose the pay
and days off. You will not get paid for them if you do not take them.
• Tentative Friday’s: Overtime Friday’s are 10hrs, Oct. 29 Nov. 5, 12.

• End of Sport Trac Photo: If you would like to be part of this historical
photo, please report to the flag pole Wednesday Nov.3, at 9:40am. All employees
who take part in the photo will be receive a copy of the photo.
• Shots at Hall: TODAY after work. Splendid Skin will be giving B12 shots and
Lipovite shots weekly for only 13.00 dollars each per week. Shots will be
available at the Fern Valley Union Hall. Any questions about the shots please
call Charlene at 339-9931.
• Bid Update: Remember to prioritize your bids if you bid on multiple jobs.
You can do so by reading over the job description, going back out and selected
the appropriate priority number you want, going back to the bid, signup for job,
accept and you done. If, you signup for a job and have not selected the priority
number till after you signup, then you will be stuck with the default number 20.
You must remove your bid and select a priority number first, and then re-bid.
Anyone needing assistance can come to the union office, F-19 or anyone from the
committee will be glad to help.
• I9 Forms: If you have not replied to your I9 Form yet, please do so as soon
as you can. For specific information you need to bring in, please log onto
www.newi9.com, 11159 code and enter the correct information. From there it will
tell you what else in necessary to bring in and or sign. Any questions please
call Jan 3642. We are doing well, only about 30 people left.
• Social Security Office: If anyone needs to get a social security card for
the I9 audit here is some info. The Office is located at 601 W. Broadway, Rm
101. They will be open Nov.2 and 15, both holidays for UAW. You can call at
1-866-716-9671.
• Labor Relations: Labor Relations will be working during the downtime in some
capacity to assist employees with any issues that may arise during the
downtime.
• Adopt-A-Child: Due to Manpower needs to run the plant; the Employment
Involvement Committee has been unable to collect the amount of money necessary
to have an adopt-a-child program this year. ERC, Ralph Napier, ext. 3674, is
fielding any ideas, taking donations and suggestions to save the program.
• Louisville Zoo: October 30th, 2010, the UAW/ Ford Motor Company Volunteer
Day. We will need at least 30 people to work from 3:30p.m. to 9:30 p.m., there
are no partial shifts available. Our volunteers will assist with: Area Managers
- Candy distribution - Crowd control, we are asking that the volunteers come in
their own "not too scary costumes"- no mask that covers the entire face allowed.
This is an outdoor event, please dress accordingly. Children under 14 years are
not allowed with the volunteers as they work for the event.
Please Contact Vera at 364-3973. This is not a free event for everyone, only
volunteers.
• Unemployment Info: We will be putting a fact sheet together to pass out with
all the State’s guidelines that we will need to follow during the TLO period.
If you have any question you would like answered please give them to your
committeeman and your union will get answers.
