Hello, I would like to bring your attention on a new post published on the UAWLAP.org Site. Details of the post follow. In Solidarity, Steven M. Stone Posting at LAP SUPERVISORS: Please post attachment in your area. Lima Engine Plant has an immediate need for 258 non-skilled production employees to staff an additional shift of engine assembly. While these opportunities are full time, dependant upon volume, it appears highly likely that this work will transfer to the Cleveland Complex in the 2nd Quarter of 2012 due to an anticipated large number of surplus employees. If the work transfers, the appropriate provisions of Article VIII, Section 23 – C, Transfer between Plants, will apply. Eligible employees are: Laid off (ILO) non-skilled employees, active non-skilled employees, Laid off (ILO) skilled employees, and active skilled employees. Anyone interested must sign up NO LATER THAN 5:00 PM on the above date. Employees out of the plant/facility for any reason are responsible for making sure their name is on the list for the available opportunity. EMPLOYEES NOT ON THE LIST BY THE DEADLINE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR PLACEMENT ON THE AVAILABLE JOB OPPORTUNITY. I believe this is a permanent transfer. Maybe Steve Stone can answer questions. davesredneck01, call the union hall to re-register for UAWLAP.org or re-register on the site itself.
