I got a letter today that FORD offers auto insurance. Have they always done this? Will they insure Toyota's and Honda's???

I have heard nothing but bad things from the Ford Auto Insurance. Friends of mine have had it and have had trouble when they have a claim, raising rates without notice, ect...

UAW/Ford have authorized a different vendor for the auto/home insurance, It's the Sterling insurance Group. I will have a representative at the Education Fair on Thursday. Stop by and get a quote. They are much different than the MetLife or the Ford VIP programs that have been offered before now....

I checked into this several years ago. The rates sucked and I found out they were underwritten by Progressive. So I knew it was crap.

I went with the Hartford a few years ago when they gave Ford workers a group discount, I am still with them auto & home, much better rates than I had before & excellent customer service, I've had an auto accident & two windshields replaced as well as a roof replaced from wind damage & my rates did not go up. They have been great for me.
