Dear Fellow Member, With our product announcement in December, our job security at the Louisville Assembly Plant is secure! The members’ dedication and hard work has paid off with the retooling for the next generation Escape. With the tear out of the plant well under way, waiting for the new equipment install is right around the corner with production starting late in 2011. While the future is bright for our members the long layoff will create financial hardship for many of our members. So in partnership with the Autotruck Federal Credit Union, Local 862 is presenting a workshop by Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Greater Louisville, “How to Survive the Layoff.” The free seminar is for LAP employees, both TLO and ILO, along with the families of our transplant members in Chicago. Please join us on Thursday, February 3, 2011, at 6:00 p.m. at the Fern Valley Road Union Hall in the large assembly room. (See the reverse side of this letter for more details and the RSVP cut out below.) Also at the workshop, I will update you on the retooling at the plant and all the projected target dates for the C520 Program. Fraternally,
Steven M Stone
