I am in the trades at KCAP and am thinking about transferring to LAP. What are the start times for the shifts in trades? At KCAP we have central maintenance, body, paint, and trim/chassis departments. Are the departments broken up the same at LAP, or different? What about seniority levels? Can someone forward me a list of seniority dates?
Thanks, Niteshift

The start times are in constant flux right now. It was an 0800 start for days prior to all of the pre changeover turmoil. After cutting out afternoons, days went to an 0900 start. Currently for retool, days is 0700 start on 10 hrs. The depts should be the same. Sorry, no luck on a list. What trade and what is your seniority?

Got a few of us looking, millwright (99) and pipe fitter (99 and 2000). We heard that they were planning on adding trades, just haven't heard how many in each and what LAP has right now as far as trades are concerned. Are they planning on just having two shifts of maintenance or going to three shifts when production starts?
Thanks, Niteshift

3 at the start of prod and probably 5 when it's all said and done. 99 and 00 seniority is going to put you near the bottom.

I don't mean to sound premature, but where would a pipefitter with May 1986 seniority be?

A pipefitter with 86 seniority would do very well. He would be close to the top.

just checking, but where might a millwright with december of 89 fall in at? Given the state of the automotive market in the mid 80's (record unemployment) 84 leveling seniority and all it would stand to reason any type of 80's seniority would be in a good position regardless of trade..........even people out of the Rouge came with 84 leveling seniority 10/29/84 no more apprentice's till what 90 ish. 89 would have been an exception

just checking, but where might a millwright with december of 89 fall in at? 38 current millwrights, 12/89 puts you at number 6 on list.
