Hello, I would like to bring your attention on a new post published on the UAWLAP.org Site. Details of the post follow. In Solidarity, Steven M. Stone RETIREE SMITH, LLOYD BAXTER, 90, of Louisville, passed away 1/17/11 Lloyd B Smith retired 9/1/1982 SMITH, LLOYD BAXTER, 90, of Louisville, passed away Monday, January 17, 2011 at Franciscan Health Care Center. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict, serving in both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 1/2 years, Norma Smith; children, Armone Caroline Cohen, Lyle Baxter Smith (Del) and Ainslie Verne Johnson; sister, Emma Jean Mitchell; grandchildren, Renay Melton Adkins, Kevin S. Johnson, Lyle B. Smith Jr., Gregory R. Johnson, Kelly L. Johnson Streit and Kristin C. Johnson; and 11 great-grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thanks to the nice people who took care of him at Park Terrace and Franciscan Health Care Center. His funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at J.B. Ratterman & Sons-Grand Chapels, 4832 Cane Run Road, with entombment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 11 a.m. 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday.
