If you voted for Obama in 2008 to prove you weren't a racist,
you'd better vote for someone else in 2012 to prove you are not an idiot!

I hope Jesus is running this time, because I haven't seen anyone capable of turning this economy around. I sort of feel asleep the other morning while changing channels and stop on C-SPAN and congress had prayer and said the Pledge allegiance to the Flag. So that's a good start for them. from there it must go down hill all day in D.C.

What about the millions of Americans that voted for Obama because they were tired of the previous 8 years of Republican leadership (6 years of Republic control) that shipped millions of jobs overseas, made billions of dollars for private military contractors while killing US soldiers, made the top 1 percent even more wealthy? I guess if you want that back you must be insanely STUPID!!

A few controlling the well being and lives of its citizens for the sole purpose of making the rich richer, of course that is so that they can create jobs! (never mind that those jobs are all overseas, because that only reinforces the whole idea of making the rich even richer!) What else could a red-blooded American ask for except another 8 years of conservatives destroying the middle class.

To suggest that Obama didn't inherit this depression is silly, much of this mess was already set in place by the Repubs before he took office. I do feel the US needs a more moderate approach in many areas, yet not at the expense of the middle and lower classes. Corporate profits are at all time highs, CEO bonuses are also, in many areas the economy is only bad for the middle and lower classes. This has been happening way before Obama.

And by the power of his teleprompter before the election, the sheeple bought into his crap load of empty promises. The only thing hussein has done is put socialized health care in place, that will fuck us by this time next year. Corporate profits are at an all time high? I have seen more corporations go belly up in the past two years, then ever before. But of course big oil is raking in the profits and hussein wont do shit to control them. Well, maybe he will come election time to fool the sheeple. Yea, Fords CEO made big profits, but the company as a whole is still in debt. And dont throw the Bush crap in my face, because Im not a fan of him either.

ktpelec and bo862 you guys need to wake up.a more moderate approach, how do you moderate with someone who is trying to destroy your way of life. The Republicans are not trying to destroy the middle class its the Liberal Democrats.Since most of the liberals that surround Obama are Marxists go read the Communist Manifesto. Marx said the biggest obstacle to the Workers Paradise (Utopia) was the middle class. They need the rich for their tax income, thet need the lower class to be dependent on Gov. they do not need the middle Class. Wake Up!!!! WHO IS JOHN GALT???

I just checked, the NASDAQ, DOW, and S&P are up....they have all made huge recoveries since Obama has been in office. As far as the oil companies profits, you can thank the Rupub controlled Congress for that! Me and my family are much better off than when the last admin was in power.

Its a sad truth. They keep the blinders on to everything around them. More jobs lost now then any other time in history and ktpelec wants to say "Hey! My family is doing great! Screw the guy who's job just went to China!" Yea, more jobs were created last quarter then any other time in the past two years, but the jobs that were created have an average pay of less then $18,000 a year and WSJ reported that more then 50% of those jobs were at fast food resturants.

I'm a moderate, no liberal here. I want the corporate world to do well, but not at the expense of my wages or health. The corporate steamroller has rolled over the middle and lower class of Americans for some time now, driving down wages and forcing more costs to consumers. All in the name of shareholder profit, and a huge percentage of those shareholders aren't Americans. Corporate profits are at all time highs in many industries, at the cost of many thousands of small business owners (think Wal Mart, ect..). I am well aware of the job situation, and it has been happening well before Obama took office. To the original topic post: Yes, my family and I are better off than when the previous admin was in control, could it be better? Yes, but there certainly wasn't much to work with. The lack of compromise by either party stands in the way of it.

I'll ask again HOW DO YOU COMPROMISE with somone who wants to DESTROY OUR way of LIFE!! It seems as if we have gotten off topic here. In MY way of life, the coal industry still supplies the majority of power here in this part of the country, yet is responsible for the safety of its workers lives and well being, as well as insuring the landscape and peoples homes and properties aren't damaged forever. The shareholders of these corporations will still make money, just not exorbitant amounts, and hopefully people won't die. Energy will continue to cost more, as the demand for it rises everyday, the population isn't going down you know...

ktpelec last week the EPA annonced the new standards this week the largest producer of energy said that they are closing 25% of their coal plants 800 jobs lost and will boost their rates by 48% to comply with the new regs. Remember during 2008 campaign Obama said that if elected he would allow companies to mine or use coal but they would go bankrupt doing so.How is this off topic

The EPA standards addressing coal ash has been a long time coming, that industry has run rampant over the public with its storage of coal ash, remember the huge spill in Tenn.? It may be the largest ecological disaster to ever hit the U.S., oh but wait it wasn't in your backyard so as long as your electricity is cheap its okay? That seems to always be the kind of response Repubs have..."The sky is falling, the sky is falling" What that really means is its going to hurt profits to do things the proper way to insure public health and wellfare. These companies have been mining coal for centuries, and they will keep doing it. Their profits just won't be as high. The same high technology that we all love, computers, lasers, GPS ect...has eliminated more jobs than regulations, should we do away with it?
