Brothers and Sisters,
Today we celebrate our birth of this great Local Union. Take time to wonder what it was like when a few great individuals said that enough was enough. It was at a time when they wanted a living wage for their families. They wanted a voice in the work place. They took a chance to form a union of workers and had no history together. They were pioneers of our Local Union. What was it like? How did they feel? Did they think that they would one day grow into one of the largest unions of America ?
You work hard to continue the fight. Everyday you are pulled in so many different directions, sometime you wonder if you are traveling in the right one. Just remember that no matter who you are or what position you have…WE ARE ALL THE U.A.W

I would feel better about the 'We are ALL the UAW' if ALL of us gave up our raises, holidays, COLA, etc... I wish we ALL had the I-UAW's contract.
