A quiet afternoon with not to much to do today thought I'd write a little. I try to stay out of this column as much as possible due to the heartfelt feelings that some of you guys feel for your parties.
The current paths of all parties from the White House through local government appear to me to be so twisted and lost due to alliances and hopes from their current and future campaign money for re-elections that they will never meet in agreement.
Due to the supreme court's lax rules on campaign contributions, our elected representitives are bought and paid for by American and foreign money before we even hear their names on Radio or T.V.
(Every major Radio, T.V., newspaper, and internet gathering site is owned and operated with the intent of the owners interests. If I owned one, I'd do the same)
These future elected government office holders are selected by their election party for his/her charisma loyalty and actions to fill a job in which the election party feels will best suit the needs of their highest contributors of income. He in turn is awarded monetary funds from the election party in order to maintain his personal “home” budget as well as to pay for his election campaign. He also receives unlimited monetary funds from contributors, both private individuals and corporate to fund his election. His current needs and more importantly his future needs are met by these contributors. His alignment with the issues that affront the highest contributors can limit his own future income. Existing laws limit the direct payments to him, but they do not limit more lucrative income opportunities on contracts received by his businesses, or direct contributions to his family members, or their businesses.
Example-Congressman Snippin's wife owns a service provider, Snippins Business Consultants. If Widget Company signs a multi-million dollar contract with Snippins Business consultants, then Congressman Snippins becomes further interested in the health of the Widget Company.
This is now considered an ill-advised connection by the ethics commission, however it does still continue.
The highest contributor to this congressman will survive, unless another contributor holds the purse strings to more than one congressman. Perhaps even an entire party!? How much wealth would it take to hold an entire party in your reins? Would an increase in your personal income tax per dollar concern you? Wouldn’t the recipients of your “donations” automatically go to bat for you to cover their future income from you? Our elected representatives are chosen by vote to represent the needs of the majority and to protect our interests, not simply the interests of a few that have plenty of money.
Due to the ownership of all radio talk shows and T.V. Any and all arguments against the voice of either of the political parties is now deemed by these parties to be a socialist, or nazi hah! The affiliation of the word nazi with the death camps should never be dropped on anyone. The word capitalism has been run through the trash so many times it's beginning to stink, but it does still survive in my dreams.
Let's talk about capitalism,
Capitalism , When a person fills a demand in the market with a product or service with the intent of receiving income for his efforts. Income from sales will reflect the actual demands of the consumer. I have the highest respect for an individual or group that steps into the churning blender of todays tough economy. Capitalism is the truest form of the American Dream, and it is now riddled with laws created by and for the protection of competitors of this business adventure. Zoning issues, certification requirements, permit application fees, all of these restrictions prevent many future capitalists from even entering the water and they were created for our protection, but they have become walls of protection for monopolizing competition owners. They prevent the dreams of true capitalists from seeing daylight.
And now to the point of this long, long, letter.
Reducing income taxes on wealthy individuals to increase their ability to hire is ridiculous.
Demand for product alone will feed the desire for him to increase production by hiring employees. Increasing the amount of his income against his personal earnings does not stimulate him to increase production; in fact it reduces his desire to do more to maintain his current lifestyle.
I do not have a vendetta against the wealthy, at some point these individuals chased their dreams and reaped their rewards. Good for them!, but as American's they should feel that they owe a percentage of taxes and compelled to pay them just like me.
Let's stop this ridiculous arguing, either give us all a flat tax rate, with no loopholes or drop it. There are much bigger problems to deal with right now.
Want to fix the deficit and elliminate unemployment with one fell swoop?
Increasing taxes solely on imported goods to help battle the deficit would be a windfall for our treasury. It would also generate a grass root effort by true capitalists to start companies on United States soil to avoid this taxation. These new and existing true capitalists will need employees from within the United States. These guys will also need elbow room from the restrictions generated by those that have monopolized the market.
Looking forward to working with you guys again soon!
