You have to sign off your trade. This will put you in the last step of the Hierarchy. You will be one step above ford hiring a tradesman off the street.

I am starting this thread for letsdothis50 . He is asking if anyone has any details about how this works. Thanks tcap89 for starting this post for me. And thanks whiteford for the info. I new going from skilled trades to production would be a gamble but I felt a transfer would be a good opportunity for me and my future. The only info I need now is when and how they payout the 50,000. My union doesn`t seem to have any answers other then we`re working on it. Thanks again guys

Our union told us (before we voted on contract) if you worked in production before you became a tradesperson, you would retain your production senority date if you took the 50000.If not,you would take leveling date.(11-19-07).One time lumpsum payout.Waiting for the fine print.

Reason I ask is I`m hearing that we won`t get the 50k unless you sign up after March 8th. Which means that if you signed up to go to production from skilled trades during the transfer bids you won`t get a dime. Can anyone verify this information?

I hear it's posted at Labor Relations now and we have until June 15 to decide. I work in paint so I haven't seen it yet. If any one can verify this or post a copy of it, it would be appreciated.
