What a clusterf@ck as of Tuesday we've had at least 5 revisions that I've seen....so much for seven days notice LMFAO We are discussing going to this at KTP as well...why not do the 4 on 4 off like at DTP...wouldn't that make much more sense and then the shifts rotate instead of one group being stuck working every friday? Nothing ever easy around here. 4 on 4 off does the same thing and everyone works the same days eventually thru this schedule

Nothing ever easy around here. 4 on 4 off does the same thing and everyone works the same days eventually thru this schedule On our schedule we have grp1 and grp2 both have advantages and disadvantages, one works every Thur and Fri but during the 2 week period gets 5 days off in a row, the other works every Mon and Tue but never gets more than 4 off in a row.... there's trade offs in both, I would have preferred 7 on 7 off, everyone liked something diff. However wouldn't it have made since to take a vote or survey the trades to see what the majority liked instead of letting the bargaining committee pick which schedule they liked( which I'm sure they still are on traditional 40) to try and negotiate??? What ever happens at KTP you better start hammering them now to get you info so your not like LAP where we start tomorrow on the AWS and there has been ZERO information put on the floor other than one half ass vague document and word of mouth.....When and if KTP go's to AWS send us the particulars @ lap Signed "still in the dark @ LAP"

Not sure KTP has the orders to support Aws, let alone the manpower, so many tradesmen have left in the last few years and not been replaced, we do not have the numbers to support four crews. We average around 50-52 electricians per shift to cover production. We have just over 160 left just enough for 3 of the four crews.

According to King Scott (LOL) the aws will only apply to body and paint. Then it will only be implemented until the new stacker is built.Yeah right whos buying into that garbage. We were supposed to get back what we gave up in the contract modification after Ford got back on its feet too. When asked by one individual that he didn't want to give up his weekends with his family, the "KING" replied "You still get 2 weekends a month." What a load of you know what. First the IUAW and local union leaderships bully the majority of the rank and file to vote for a garbage contract and now they are bullying maintenance in to working shifts that conflict with their family lives. If I'm not mistaken wasn't it Fords take to try to improve the morale of the employees family life by improving work schedules. As far as that goes the union leadership should be arguing that point. Instead here they go again representing Ford Motor before their dues paying members.

Don't worry KTP, there are plenty of trades that are forced to work on the line that would be glad to be back in maintenance. They would have to hire a few electicians off the street though. Let's get these people back to their tools.
