Available Permanent Job Opportunities (Skilled)
Locations Eligible under the 2011 Preferential Placement Hierarchy in Steps 5-7:
Active & surplus Toolmakers & Template Makers at Cleveland Site, Indianapolis,
LAP, MAP BSU, MAP F/A, Rouge Site (DTP), Saline, Sandusky, and TCAP.
Dark Blue volunteers at Saline and Sandusky are limited to those in the
requested trade who have elected to return to Ford and currently do not have
placement.
Closing Deadline: Monday, May 21, 2012
The following in-zone permanent skilled job opportunities are available to all
eligible skilled UAW hourly employees until Monday, May 21, 2012. Eligible
employees are as outlined above. Eligible employees interested must sign up NO
LATER THAN 5:00 PM on the above date. Employees out of the plant/facility for
any reason are responsible for making sure their name is on the list for the
available opportunity. EMPLOYEES NOT ON THE LIST BY THE DEADLINE WILL NOT BE
CONSIDERED FOR PLACEMENT ON THE AVAILABLE JOB OPPORTUNITY.
A decision to transfer to the available job opportunity is irrevocable. After
the deadline, if an employee has signed up, it is expected that the employee
will transfer if selected and employees must be available on the assignment
effective date. Employees selecting this opportunity must be eligible and
available to transfer.
Employees will be considered in Preferential Placement Hierarchy and seniority
order (Date of Entry). If your location falls in Steps 5-7 of the Hierarchy,
the total number of volunteers from your facility will be limited to the total
number of skilled surplus in the requested trade from your facility. While these
opportunities are being simultaneously posted in Steps 5-7, the order in which
volunteers are selected will be in Hierarchy order. Therefore please rank all
options accordingly.
Volunteers must be qualified, eligible, and able to transfer on the respective
transfer dates. Volunteers who are selected to transfer to these opportunities
will not be eligible to sign up for any other future job postings while they are
awaiting their transfer.
If you have been previously identified to transfer to a location and are
awaiting a transfer for another permanent job, or have not been at your new
permanent job for at least six (6) months you are not eligible to volunteer for
this opportunity. Employees recently recalled or selected for an in-zone
movement in their trade are not eligible for these opportunities.
The posting process has complex administrative implications. Accordingly,
claims of violation are not subject to the Grievance Procedure (Article VII of
the Collective Bargaining Agreement).
Questions regarding the Placement Hierarchy or the available job opportunities
should be directed to your local Hourly Personnel Office.
