My husband asked me to stop by an auto parts store and pick up some oil. We live close to the Autozone in Mt. Washington so I stopped by there earlier this morning! First of all, I was made to feel that I needed to justify why I was buying Motorcraft Oil - even told that was going to one one expensive oil change. Funny thing was they were sold out of the 5-qt containers of Motorcraft and I had to buy the individual quarters. Then when I was paying for the oil - the salesman proceeded to tell me that he would never, ever, ever, ever, etc. buy a Ford. Now mind that he had no clue that my husband worked for Ford nor both of our fathers retired from Ford nor that we have 5 Ford vehicles that need oil, filters, windshield blades, etc. at home. Staying calm, I asked him what he would prefer to own. He proceeded to tell me that he would only drive Hondas! I calmly told him that next time he might want to keep his mouth shut as to his preference (especially since I never asked him) as we would never step foot in their establishment again. I told him that he could have told me Chevrolet, GMC or any "American" made vehicle. Not one moment did he ever know that we were a Ford family. They have definitely lost our business. I do believe I will be calling their corporate office on Monday!

I live in Mt.Washington and I know the guy who owns the place. His name is Curtis. He drives a Ford truck and I have known him for years, I am going to tell him about this. He wouldn't like that.

I do believe I will be calling their corporate office on Monday! You do realize that you asked HIM what HE would drive right? How is some guy (I'm assuming high school aged) who you asked for his opinion wrong? Who cares what HE prefers to drive? All he is there for is to take your money and give you a receipt. I really doubt his prefrence to driving Hondas is backed by Autozone. Maybe you shouldn't ask people for their opinions if it gets you all bent out of shape.

I see it as when you told him you wanted motor craft ,he knew you owned a Ford..Then he says he would never own one means he was fucking with you and should keep his mouth shut..
