......another unfunded tax mandate for all of the working to pay. (With thousands of new IRS agents to make sure)
The people not paying now will not be paying in the future either.

Enjoy the next 2+yrs of good health insurance, because after this contract is up, Ford will gladly pay the $2K fine per worker vs coughing up $8k or more per worker per year.

The individual mandate is a conservative idea........a Heritage Foundation proposal, actually.
And taxing individual cadilac plans was John McCain's plan.
I'm just sayin........
FWIW, why am I taxed for not having kids?
The federal govt is making me pay TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars more in taxes because I don't have kids. It's a tax on inactivity, which supports the idea that the commerce clause allows for tax on activity as well as inactivity. You chose to have kids, so I have to pay tens of thousands in federal income tax more because I didnt'?
And only one justice sided with the mandate based on a non-participation penalty.........the others rested on the commerce clause.
FWIW, Its a shitty law, only because the primary concern for the lawmakers that drafted this was the interests of the insurance and drug companies that stand to make all the bucks.......
