I work at LAP and I have a customer of ours in Georgia that drives a Superduty a fully loaded diesel. He is a Commercial customer one I would like to aid as best as possible.
Let me start by saying when you work at Ford in a city that builds the product there is hope and expectations by some of your friends that if they buy a Ford you can be of sevice to them at a time of need. I want to convey this feeling outward as much as possible.
It is hard to fix a problem that will not duplicate for the dealer. He has made 2 trips to the dealer and the dealer had no luck in getting the problem to duplicate. Said he would return a call to him and did not. This is when he decided to contact me.
The issue is the passenger side heat turns cold randomly while the drivers side stay hot. I have the full VIN number for anyone who can help.
Who can I contact to start a concern for this person maybe?
What is the recommended course of action for me in this situation?
Lets try to take care of this commercial customer
Thanks for any help

ford guru, the person to contact at KTP would be Libby Eldridge she is the quality rep. But good luck getting any help out of her. I had a freestyle that also had that problem, mine was the climate control that operates the doors inside the dash that keeps it to a certain temperature. it was some sensor that would send the wrong information for weather the car needed heat or cold. dont know exactly what the dealer did, but they did fix it.

Air blend door actuator. Either a sensor or sticking, possibly the plastic piece broke on it if it's older. If its been like this since it was brand new might be something in the vent.

TSB 09-12-15
LARGE TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCES - BUILD BEFORE 11/6/2008
FORD:
2008-2009 F-Super Duty
ISSUE:
Some 2008-2009 F-Super Duty vehicles with a build date before 11/06/08, and equipped with DATC (Dual Automatic Temperature Control) may exhibit a side-to-side temperature difference greater than 15 degrees Fahrenheit (8.3 degrees Celsius). A temperature difference of less than 15 degrees Fahrenheit (8.3 degrees Celsius) would be considered normal and no repair attempt should be made. Also, it is not necessary to replace the EATC control head or the HVAC.
If equipped with manual climate control, vehicles may exhibit periods where the cabin temperature cannot be maintained with the control knob. Some customers may also complain the heat cannot be reduced without rotating the control knob well into the Cool/Blue range.
ACTION:
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
Check Actuator Activity:
DATC systems may be monitored with the IDS PID ($9910 and $9911 ). Manual A/C systems may be observed through the right side of the instrument panel with the glove compartment door positioned downward.
Erratic PID activity or an actuator that appears to be erratically hunting for correct position during the condition should be replaced.
The ignition key must be off when replacing the actuator, energizing the actuator before installation on the HVAC case will cause the part to become mis-positioned and correct orientation will be lost. Incorrect actuator operation may result.
