Mandatory Overtime schedule: All areas/crews are schedule 10.7 hours each day.
Mandatory Saturdays tentatively scheduled are 11/9. Mandatory Sundays
tentatively scheduled are 10/27 and 11/24. All Mandatory OT days are 10 hours
only. Company is looking into a possible voluntary Sunday on Dec. 15.
UL Football Tickets and T-Shirts: We have 60 tickets left for the Louisville vs.
UCF game, Friday October 18 at 8:00pm, the seats are in section 201. Ralph
Napier will be in his office from 4-6 am, Monday thru Friday. Office is at E-18.
Anyone wishing to buy shirts can also do so during these times Monday thru
Friday.
Home Depot $50 Giveaway: Anyone that purchases something from the Main Café
will be eligible for a drawing to win one of two $50 Home Depot Gift Cards.
Winners will be drawn Oct. 18. Reminder that they have Sub Station sandwiches
Mon and Tue, and Chick-Fil-A on Wed day and night and Friday Days only. New
specials coming very soon…
Ford Multi-Generation Employees: On October 7th, we will be celebrating the 100
year anniversary at Louisville Assembly Plant. On this day we will have media
in our plant to celebrate the event. Ford is looking for multi generation
employees that would be interested in speaking to the media. Please contact me

Union Meeting: The next union meeting will be Oct. 8 @ KTP Union Hall 12pm and
6pm.
Credit and Debt Management Workshop: This is a 2 1/2 hr class that helps with
all aspects of your financial situation, danger signals, credit scores and
identity theft. There are several dates in October that you can attend
10/21,22,23,24 and 25. All class are the same. Two time frames 3pm – 530pm or
630pm – 8pm. Please contact ESSP Reps. Kevin Bush 502-364-3659 or Jeff Hale at

Race for the Cure: UAW/Ford Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure will be Saturday
Oct. 12, at Slugger field Downtown, start time is 8am. The Price is $30 which
will include a Susan G Komen T-shirt, UAW/Ford walk shirt and a LAP water
bottle.
UAW Fishing Tournament: “RAMP CHANGE” UAW Bass Tournament at Rough River
Lake Laurel Branch Ramp, Sunday Oct. 13. Time, 7:30AM to 3:30PM. Entry Fee is
$60 dollars per boat, cash or Money order payable to UAW Local 862. All
participants must be UAW dues paying members in good standing.
Retiree Appreciation Day: The Annual Retiree Appreciation Day will be Oct. 16,
11:30 at the LAP Union Hall.
Worlds Largest Halloween Party: Volunteers are needed for UAW/Ford Night at the
Zoo. All volunteers must be 18yrs of age. Saturday Oct. 26, 4pm to 930pm.
Responsibilities are crowd control and candy distribution. Please contact Vera

UAW Local 862 Hosts 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament: The 3 on 3 Tournament will be
at the LAP Union Hall Gym on Fern Valley Rd. Local 862 members only. If
interested contact Amanda Goins at aegoins862@gmail.com. Cut-off date for
sign-ups is Monday, Oct. 28.
JCPS Middle School Connection – UAW Local 862 has committed to be a part of
the “Middle School Connection Program” during the month of October 2013. The
program is designed to connect adults, by volunteering for a 30-minute session,
with every 7th grader in the JCPS school district to help students focus their
attention on the importance of planning for college and career. This is in
cooperation with the state of Kentucky’s Development Programs through the KY
Dept. of Education and the Dept. of Workforce Development’s Operation
Preparation. So please consider volunteering some of your time next month and
send a positive message to the youth in our community that we care about them
and their future. For more information and a list of schools, dates, and
volunteer times, please contact Suellen Warner at 502-969-9136

Haunted House Discount: Dead End Hotel, Louisville newest Haunted Attraction for
2013. Located off I65, Exit 117 at 495 South Lakeview Dr. Shepherdsville KY.
UAW/Ford discount tickets are $15, regularly ($20). Open every Friday and
Saturday till 2am. Please see Ralph for tickets at E18 4-6am. $5 dollars of each
ticket will go to Adopt-a-Child.
Notes from the Floor:
Glasses Do Not have to be worn at Team Room picnic tables or break rooms.
Please keep your Car/Truck locked at all times. We have had a couple vehicles
stolen from our parking lots. If you have keyless entry, please take your keys
with you, they are breaking in and the keys are in the vehicle and makes for an
easy steal.
We have 3 Crews so be respectful to the other shifts lockers, cabinets, and tool
boxes.
Please do not wash out your food containers, coffee pots or other items in the
water fountains. They are for clean drinking water.
