Harris vrs. Quinn might be decided Monday.
It's possible that a ruling against union interests will essentially lead to a national right to work situation.
Unions might be unable to compel dues from all those they negotiate for.
Alito may very well write the opinion, and has a reputation for being the most anti-union judge on the bench.
I know this is "political", but the implications for the UAW, and compensation in the whole industry, are enormous.

The UAW should make sure that all of its dues paying members are happy with what they are getting for dues paid and they have nothing to worry about. If members can "opt out" IUAW should be worried.

SCOTUS just set the stage for the end of mandatory dues, which just means there will be no more closed shops in the long run. We just got a backdoor national RTW law. It won't take too much longer.
That will have a PROFOUND affect on the auto industry and our future compensation.......
