Guessing December 23-January 1. C-Crew would then return on January 2? I wonder about that return date. I've been on C-Crew since Oct 2013 and I still get confused about these holiday schedules...

Read article IX section 22 of your national contract. Volume I Pages 109-113. See if that helps clear things up.

Wouldn't bring you all in for all the OT on the weekend.

I like that even better! 15 years and counting at Ford and the Christmas and New Year's holidays still throw me off. Being on C-Crew for just over a year and trying to get use to the holiday schedule on that crew still gets me too.

So what did anyone figure out about our holidays? I saw the schedule and it was marked January 1st and 2nd as holidays so why wouldn't we return on Saturday the 3rd? Correct me if I'm wrong because I'd much rather come back on Monday the 5th, but I don't see Ford giving us any freebies and it certainly wasn't on the calendar. Maybe they just haven't told the red headed step child crew yet that we'll be getting paid those days yet, or...maybe as usual..we'll get a shorter vacation and get screwed..lol lol...

You are already being compensated for 40 hours holiday pay for that week. Thats why you wouldn't come in on Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully, they make a deal and you won't have to come back until the next Friday... Giving you Monday off as well.

Dave, thanks for clarifying that..I mean who would of thought about checking the contract when endless griping and debate is what we do best! Ford has always been generous with paid holidays at Christmas compared to other companies. I voluntarily signed up for C crew to make some bump moves, so I'll roll with the punches with whatever I get...hope to be back on A crew next year!! Happy Holidays everyone and don't forget about your free turkey!
