This company is a complete joke!!! Every damn day they want to go to break early because of that joke of a machine.600 million in retooling and they can't fix a fucking tire machine..its a damn circus run by a bunch of incompetent monkeys.. If it doesn't get fixed real soon people will get tired of being abused and start rioting!!! Nobody likes going to break early twice a day!!!

Yeah, it's a great machine. Just needs a lot of little things worked on. With the line speed so fast, if any of the million things that can go wrong does, it's hard to keep up.

Tire machine down is their go to excuse for going to break early. Sometimes its really down, but many times when we've been out of stock they use the tire machine to get around going to early break.

Can only speak for mine as well, numerous times have walked by there when they've called early break & no one is working on it or even near it.

It's almost a daily occurrence.. Its a major issue that should be addressed..a multi billion dollar company and they can't fix a tire machine!!! Nobody likes going to break at 7 and working 5 hours without break, which has become the norm as apposed to the exception!!! Barry and his reps should be all over the company to fix the issue but that seems to be non issue for them!!!

Plans are in the works to fix the tire machine. But what you don't understand (or don't want to understand) that it is a complicated machine with several machines inside of that tire machine heading.

I have a radio that is constantly blowing up in my ear. Almost every time we are about to shut lines down due to part shortages the tire line "goes down" what a coincidence

Goes for every little nickel and dime fix in the plant. How many times have you heard them say "Its not in the budget to fix your, safety issue, your stock station, your platform wooden floor with the hole in it, etc?" This place has turned into a shit stain since we have returned from retooling and I don't see it getting better. Our union leadership lets management do what ever they please. Remember the days when Donnie Mitchell, Larry Carico and a few other would shut the line down until mgt got shit fixed? Balls! They had em! No one up in the union office has any testicals now.

Some of those machines are form the Bronco II / Ranger set up of the mid 80's. $600 million to renovate and we still use a dam dinosaur set up for tires.

Some of it is old, but that many moving parts... Sometimes it Breaks. Like was Said above, there are a number of things that need to be worked on. But it requires $$$ that ford does not want to spend.

It might be time to stick a hand grenade in it and blow the whole damn thing up!! Then they have no choice but to fix it!! Its almost a daily occurrence to go to break early on c.some may be legit some not.when it happens that often u tend to lean towards the not..there have been many times we have run out of stock and magically the tire machine goes down!!!I can't even get operators trained because they are always pulling them to push tires!! Its just plain aggravating!! I'm done venting thank u all for ur insight!!

analspasm, none of the machines are from the Bronco/Ranger era. A lot of tires and wheels go through the machines a shift and a lot of the big parts have to be custom made. Biggest problem is switches and valves. Switches get out of adjustment or valves go bad. Noneoftheabove any major work has to be done at shutdown and then it's limited to the time available. They have just now started to build the inflators that will go on one side at summer shutdown. Tkes at leasat 3 to 4 months to build because they are replaced in pairs. Nothing is cheap on the tire machine.

toddstang. If you don't have the tires to put on the rims then you are going down. Run out of 18"tires due to trailer not arriving

Turbo 350 is completely accurate. Work in MH. Listened to it on the radio all day from about 8:30, tires were several hours late getting here. Was still here at around 4:15 when they came in. Now this part is unconfirmed but I was "told" that the reason we arent working over 10 & the reason they didnt keep us today like they usually do is that our plant was way over budget last year & Dearborn said no overtime for a while unless absolutelty necesssary.
